Tony Robbins!! Are you kidding???

I love American Greed!!! How sad that Tony Robbins was featured, although I haven’t seen the episode.  I’m always wary of people in his “line of work.”  

Berean1954, I agree with SunandSee that you got hold of some false info.  I looked through all of the episode desciptions of American Greed (from season 1 on), and TR is not in any of them.  

I do believe there is more to Tony Robbins than an unconfirmed feature. I’m actually very intrigued  he is starting to work with HSN and how that will go. I listened to a couple of YouTube videos after seeing him on HSN during a brief airing to learn more and found his message to be a good one. 

I am not into Gurus, I know people who swear by one, follow their suggestions, programs and ideas and then move on to someone new with the latest trendy book.  It is almost like a drug for some people.  Oprah is an example of that, she has been on so many weight loss programs and each one was the “one”, the last one she will ever need,  until the next one.  The same with her guru following.  Whether she is sincere or not, one can only speculate.  Some people need to follow something whether it be religon or a charismatic persona that revs them up with their solutions to a happy life. If it makes them happy and they get something out of it then that is all that matters.  People have worked out that others will open their pockets for help in bettering their lives.

Wow, I am watching the final show right now and all I can say is that I am a person commited to growth and learning, as well as finding a greater purpose in life, so HSN thank you for bringing this to the network. I’m psyched! FYI, I don’t think he’s into functioning as anyone’s guru, in fact, I discovered there is a documentary “I’m Not Your Guru,” about his life. I think he’s sort of a “do”-ru, someone who’s is a believer in action, energy, outcomes – if I am understanding it correctly.  

Isn’t Tony Robbins one of those motivational speakers that preach about the Laws of Attraction?  I’ve heard both positive and negative reviews just like I heard about Kevin Trudeau.  Kevin launched a lot of best sellers, and he ended up in prison.  I actually like Kevin Trudeau and bought some of his books at our local thrift store.  He subscribes to the Laws of Attraction.  I kind of wonder if he’s still subscribing while he’s in prison.

I onced watched an infomercial about Tony, and what caught my attention was that he said that he worked with the San Antonio Spurs and other professional teams.  Since the Spurs are my home team, I took interest in that.  I don’t know when or what he discussed with the Spurs, but they are very successful.  Of course, their coach has a lot to do with their success.

It will be interesting to see what he’s up to.

Personally, Don’t have anything against the guy. But for me I don’t need what he selling, hype. Then again that’s how he got rich. Self confident in one self, loving one self, planning ahead when it comes to fiances. Exercise daily,try to eat the right foods, I am positive,in my faith, but also realistic. Not rich, but I happy and comfortable.  Love life.Love family including the four legged ones.With life there will be sadness, madness, grief, but also there will be gladness,happiness, love, joy,and faith. Could I be better financially,of course. One way is saving $300.00 from not buying what he’s selling( But buying some King baby jewelry,will not make me rich,:womanlol: but it sure would make me happy)

. In reply to your earlier post I would say yor understanding is pretty on the mark as to what Tony is about. Tony is not for those who THINK they need change but those who KNOW it and are READY for it. He asks the HARD questions but is there for you every step from HIS own PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. If this sounds like you ….

As far as his wealth, confidence etc., why do you think he is so good? His story is a good one and would probably suprise many, as well as his charity.
