Is anyone else here disabled?
I have been disabled since I was 26 years old. I am 31 now. I have a lot to be thankful for. Do not pity me. I am just wondering if any of u can relate.

Kemiqueen I have to admire you my luv. I feel like hard things and obstacles are put in our way, not to STOP us, but to call out our COURAGE, PATIENCE, AND STRENGTH. And this is you, and all others with a disability. Myself, I do not have a disability but suffer with migraines. Hate them so much! Now, my friends…they have hip problems, knee problems, heart problems, depression, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, and diabetes. When I’m with one of them or the other…I feel so blessed. But having them in my life as my FRIENDS well, I feel blessed on that also. I’ll pop-up at their homes and just start doing domestic chores…just to help out. Have to, and want to, their my “FRIENDS!” If I lived by you, you can mark your calendar I would be all in the your business ….everyday….lol.
Just want to make you laugh! May God bless each and everyone of you that have a disability….each and everyday…in each and every way.

Hey KemiQueen- I sent you a photo of my dog Tebo . I’m proud it worked but it didn’t end up at the top so you’ll have to search for it . I was asking about your dog. # Sassygranny122

I also have invisible illness. some days are good, some are really bad. Usually I am somewhere in between and can manage through the day. I have a heart condition, I’m 46. But I also have chronic pain. Today is a day that I am resting and under my heated throw because I am really having a lot of pain, fatigue and fighting off a cold.
HSN is a great shopping option, somedays I struggle to feel good… but playing in my jewelry box or getting a new piece is a good mood lifter. So is using skin care that feels good, smells good… even if I stay in my pj’s all day! In a support group I was in, we talked about our “secret pj’s”… clothes that are comfy enough to sleep/rest in and easy to wear if you have physical limits, but you can still leave the house and look dressed. There’s a lot of great designers here that fit that bill! I can put on a great pair of Marla Wynn pants and a tunic and look pretty well put together, especially if I add some jewelry. and then I’m just as comfy if I need to rest… but it’s nice to look in the mirror sometimes and see I look pretty good and that makes me feel better and not just identify my limits. 🙂

Hi kemiqueen yes I am disabled and have been for 20 years +, however the past 10 years has been the worst. I now have multiple illnesses and unless you know me well and saw me on the occasional day I get to go for a drive & I’m smiling, most wouldn’t know. Although far more obvious when I get tired. So called “invisible” illnesses can cause havoc on a life. I’m now in my 50’s. I miss grocery shopping a lot, yep :smileyhappy: I can at times go to small stores to get a few things.
I have been with HSN for over 2 decades. I was recovering from a surgery that went bad and had to have an emergency surgery afterwards so I was in bed all the time and I saw a Riccio bracelet for sale and bought it. My 1st purchase. I had a short respite and was able to do limited work and I then purchased much more on HSN for the convenience and saving my energy for my work hours.
I’m so happy you posted this thread and whatever your going through, there are good people on this earth that can make such a difference. Even if they give a listening ear or to know your not alone. Many are disabled and some of us are on very low income and can’t even shop like we once did. But we all have needs and online shopping helps disabled so much. Not just HSN but HSN is special to me. I want to share a little more.
I have to buy when things are on sale and have free to low s&h with flexpay but I can say that HSN has been with me all these years. It has helped me so many times to help take my mind off of pain. I love so many of the hosts and watch HSN even when I know I can’t buy anything.
All my life I have always taken good care of my skin which is also a passion of mine. I went through a stage for years where I didn’t even do that any longer. I then one day realized if I can even only buy one thing here and there that I needed to care. I started to purchase some skin care and started taking care of my skin again. That has been good therapy for me. The ritual of cleansing to putting on serums and creams and seeing results makes me feel like I’m doing something good for myself and my self esteem. I admit on really bad days I skip a day or days but get back into the routine because I’m doing something good for me. I’m sharing this with you and everyone because we do go through so many changes when disabled and each of us have something we enjoy. I still want to look pretty even being at home. For some it may be crafting or buying a comfy outfit on sale for lounging in. I think IMO this is good for us and I appreciate when HSN gives us affordable options.
I know this is long but I wanted to just share because I ran a group for disabled with those in common with my own illnesses and I can’t do it any longer but when I saw your post I know how important it is to know others understand and care. I send you love & light. Thanks for reaching out. Hugs xxxx

Hi sweet KemiQueen. This is a great thread and I hope everyone has a chance to read it and post on it. Yes, there are many of us out here who have some sort of disability or, in some cases, many. It is important for everyone to know that not all disability’s are visible. This is why I try so hard not to be judgemental of others. But for those of us who do suffer we cope in the ways that are best for us. HSN and the forums have been a great help for us all. Healing energy and angel hugs to all….

I walk with a cane due to fail knee surgery . I currently attend PT until I can find a doc willing to give me a total replacement . I am a nurse and try to help people that are worse off even with my limitations . My 11 year old daughter never complains when I can’t particpate in some of her favorite sports .
I will retire early due to my condition . Doctors fail to understand everyone is different .
I am 53 and most feel I am too young lol for a replacement . :womansad:
God bless Kemiqueen and everyone in the topic . You never know what a member may be dealing with in real life . One of the reasons I love the HSN community . 99% are beautiful inside and out .

I am and I’m not surprised about how many of us there are here. On-line shopping is a life savior for those of us who struggle to leave the house many days due to pain. I do the vast majority of shopping for myself and gifts for others this way. If I feel up to it when I go to my monthly doctor’s appointment, I get to make a stop at one of the HSN outlets.
