Achy feet -copper socks?
My feet have been aching lately and I know its partly because of my shoe choices. In the summer, I run around my yard barefooted or sandals only. I guess I need to find a good pair of lightweight summer walking shoes that is good for the my feet. My question is has anyone tried the copper compression socks and do they work? Can anyone recommend a good comfortable walking shoe that is not hot? Thank you.

I have never tried the Copper socks. I have always had a lot of trouble finding comfortable shoes and while working I also wanted attractive shoes. Now that I am retired I still like comfy shoes but they are for exercise and walking these days. My feet scream at me often but have found that shoes by Easy Spirit are without a doubt the most comfy shoes I have ever worn. And many if not most of their styles are very attractive. Have a couple pair that are like sling backs – and they are for walking – super comfy and attractive. For years my feet swell, ache – you name it – and I am very picky about what I put on my feet. Also have learned to buy the correct width and Easy Spirit is the best when it comes to sizing. Good luck!

Hello Starla, in the winter time I do wear the Tommie Copper, in boots with pants, found them at Walgreens! If you wear pants during the summer, to work and such, the really help! Forwarning,
they are very difficult to get on, the first time, but easy to put on after that!

For casual wear I wear Orthaheels shoes for the Q website, they are very comfortable and supportive. I love the flipflops in particular for summer time.

When I was still working I had to get special shoes to help my feet and legs. I got my shoes from Red Wing stores. They looked like nurses shoes…maybe they were not sure Just be careful…some stores will tell you they are nurses shoes but they are really only cheap knockoffs..and your feet hurt more.
Also might try a "walking" or "running" shoe store…the problem with them is they also hire anyone and they will just try to sell you any old pair of shoes and you might get the wrong type, size, or even the wrong "sex" of shoe. Like in my case they didn’t have my size and type so they talked me into a mens shoe which was generally wider than womens but they don’t fit your feet right. After that went back to Red Wing.
If you know any nurses ask what they wear. Also could try calling a hospital and see if they will let you ask a couple nurses there.
