Being blessed to have just what I wanted the one thing I never got to do was touch a sweing machine.

Well into my 40’s I still dream that someday I will own a sewing machine. I look around my home as well as my closet and swear I could find a hobbie for life.

When I was a child the gift that I always wanted was this toy that give children the opportunity of becoming fashion designers. The toy came with a base that held these plates that had fashion sketches etched on them. The child would place a piece of paper on top of the plates then he/she would use a pencil, and trace the fashion design(s) on to the paper. The base held two plates at a time, so several designs could be created at a time. I always had fantasies of becoming a fashion designer, and this toy would have given me the chance of pretending to be one. It was released on the market in the eighties. I really wanted that toy as a gift, but I never received it. :robotsad:

When I was a kid, I always asked for a cashmere sweater and ballet slippers. I always got the ballet slippers and never got the cashmere sweater. To this day, many years later, I have never been gifted with a cashmere sweater.
