When I was a small child, I wanted a bicycle – but never did get one. I finally stop wanting a bicycle, after I learned how to ride a bike. To my amazement, I learned through practicing on my friend bike. You know, it was easier to learn than I thought. I learned that I can do anything when I put my mind to it….:smileyhappy:.

I got a white and black football in te 3rd grade signed by Bart Starr I had to leave it behind a door on the play ground at St Clements, per one of the nuns told me to at school, When I went back to get it someone had taken it and I never got another football after that as a christmas gift. I would like another NFL football signed by Aaron Rogers but not black and white.
THANKS

I always wanted money so that I could buy my own gifts for Christmas.

Malachite, some crazy weather going on… it is deceptively calm here. Of course, only the west coast kiddies should still be out at this hour.

It is really cool to read everyone’s Christmas wishes as well as everyone’s more serious wishes that they shared. This turned out to be a really sweet topic.

Kaitlincalifornia,
Thank You for your kind words. Yes, I would trade in everything I have to have my son back but know deep in my heart that he is in good hands. I still have bad days and every day I think about him all the time. He was my only Son, Best Friend and the Love is Unconditional. Again, Thank You for your kind words. A SHOUT OUT TO CINDY819!!!

When I was little I always wanted a Thumbalina Doll! Ha Now, that realy shows my age. I got a Chatty Kathy doll instead. Soon after Christmas, hurricane Betsy hit New Orleans and my cousins lost everything. I sent my beloved doll to them. So that doll was special for many reasons and I stil remember that.

A 1957 black Corvette Stingray!

I always thought the commercials where someone looks outside to see a brand new very expensive car adorned with giant red bow were very appealing. Somehow I have never received such a gift. I do know people who got expensive cars as gifts, but sans bow. My father gave me some money toward the purchase of my first car, but that is as close to my ultimate dream gift as I have gotten.

It was 1956. I wished with all my heart and soul that I’d receive a letter from Walt Disney, announcing that I’d been chosen to be a Mouseketeer on the Mickey Mouse Club show. I had organized a neighborhood club, and our mothers ironed our names on our white Mickey Mouse Club shirts. We, of course, had the ears, and we were ready to head to California and join Annette, Darlene, and Cubby!

This has been such a fun topic to think about! I remember wearing ”hot pants” haha, I just for the life of me don’t remember what shoes I wore! I guess since I had no Go-Go boots like the rest of you I blocked it out of my head haha…and oh boy the mini dresses–what fun!!

:heart:Has anyone ever seen the movie Pretty In Pink, it’s a cute movie, that I always enjoy watching. I always wanted a Prom Dress, I remember all my friends going for fittings, and having fun to get ready. Being raised in a strict Catholic, Italian Family with your parents from Italy. PROM WAS NOT ALLOWED, so I never got a Prom Dress with poof, and flare and dazzle.
Instead I now thank my Parents for this upbringing, and feel Blessed. So I get to help my nieces with their Prom Dresses :):) and have so much fun. I have had so many gowns for events, weddings, etc, it makes up for all the POOF and Bling:)
