Could you tell me what might be the difference between the Intel Quad core versus the Intel i7?

I have a computer now that has a dvd optical drive built in, BUT NO PROGRAM TO LET YOU VIEW THE DVD. Can this computer play a DVD movie, as is, out of the box? Or do I need to buy a seperate program to actually use the DVD drive to play cds and dvds

What is the difference between fix me stick and the vipre???

RAM is only 4GB.  What is the maximum amount of memory the computer can accept.  If I were to purchase this I would be upgrading the memory to 8GB at least if not 12GB.

Can you provide the model number as well so I can check prices for memory upgrades.
