If I place an order, and it’s “extended delivery”, does it remain in a cool environment while waiting to be shipped?

  I thought products were in a warehouse in Piney Flats, especially products advertized as “on sale” or a Today’s Special.  Products aren’t in a warehouse?  Or some sort of distribution center?  I’m trying to learn here.
