Hi everyone! I had gotten a lot of the crafter’s companion dies. I was also disappointed that the die wasn’t cutting all the way through. I watched some videos on u tube and one time I heard a great tip. Run the die through a few times. This helped a lot. I used the cuttlebug. Hope this helps.

Hi does anyone know is there going to be any more craft shows before the end of the year karen
-
Initially I had the same problem with 2 of their DVD’s. I’m not tech saavy either. First I had to get my computer’s DVD program to run the DVD which was a lot of hit-and-miss clicking around. Once it started to run the DVD I found that I have to select the program I wanted by clicking the printed name and not only clicking on the picture. I’m new to using Windows 10 and the learning curve on that is a real pain too. Be sure you’re able to run DVD’s you’ve used before and then try "right clilcking" to run programs Good luck! .

Just a little info for everyone in case they didn’t know. I get emails from Crafters companion and they are closed to move to a bigger warehouse and will not be open again until next week sometime. Just in case you try to reach them and don’t get an answer. Not sure if the phones are on, or not.

I have had trouble many times with my cuttlebug embossing. You need to use several shims (extra pieces of paper) to get the metal flat dies to work. I bought the ebosser from HSN and it has all the plates and a metal one to use and that works better.Or my spellbinders grand calibur embosser works well for the thin dies. With my cuttlebug I just kept adding pieces of paper or even cardboard ( like from a cereal box) until I found the one combination that worked then I put that aside to keep for future reference. Most of these magazines are from England and so have a lot of contests that we can’t enter from here. I did however see a USA site to enter for us in the magazine that came in this bundle. There was also a web site listed that showed what order to put the different type plates in each machine that I printed out. Hope this helps a little. I was able to use both the CD & DVD in my computer but I have windows 7 on it still and I had to open it to get it to work by clicking on computer then on the DVD under that.

Hello.
I too purchased the Crafter’s Companion Magazine, DVD/CD, Die and Christmas Stamps on the Autoship. Sorry for all the issues everyone is having with missing product. My issue is with the product itself. Meaning the Lattice Flourish Die.
It won’t cut through the lightweight cardstock I used in my Cuttlebug. I don’t wand to use flimsy paper with it. I’ve been using the standard 2 B plates and A plate, the rubber mat I received with my Anna Griffin Dies and it still won’t cut through. Is anyone else having the same issues and ALL suggestions would be SOOOO appreciated! I purchased the set because of the embossing folder and the Flourish Die becauseof the card they showcased in the event. I would hate to cancel the Autoship and send back the purchase, but it’s basically useless.
So thank you for all the time. Hope everyone gets a remedy to their problems with this purchase. I received the DVD and CD in the holder that reads "The Ultimate DVD Christmas".
Any thoughts on the quality of the die? Just curious. I think it could have been a tad thicker. HSN or Crafter’s Companion can you send me a replacement die? That might help my situation.
Peace!

In Joann’s one day I spotted a magazine called "Papercrafts"…actually 2 different ones.
One is called Papercraft Essentials – the other Papercraft Inspirations.
Both contained dies. Digistamps, and a bunch of fun stuff 🙂
SO similar to the Crafter’s Companion Magazine (and I think one issue I have has Sara Davies in it)…
So, a Companion to a Companion magazine? LOL
(The Create and Craft tv/web/show has magazine, too.) Coincidence?LOL
I haven’t looked into it yet, but well – similar is similar! 🙂
Expensive, yes, but a lot of magazines I love are expensive.
(The British Vegan/Vegetarian magazines are SO much better than US ones – for the past 20+ years I’ve been buying them!).
Stampington are also expensive – but I like a few of those, too.
anyway, if you missed the HSN magazine deal, check out your craft shops for ‘Papercraft" magazine. I don’t know if it is monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly or whatever. I just saw 2 and bought them!

I was so disappointed this sold out before I could get it. I love the cards they feature in the Make The Project link. I was wondering if this link is something for this product only and if it isn’t how do I find more projects. The only time I have ever seen this link is on this product page but I think it is a wonderful idea and I also like the fact that you show a list of other products used to make the project. Would love to see more of these Make The Project links.

Hello again!
I was wondering if you – or anyone – could run down the list of items that were to be included with the magazine. I only saw a short presentation before I ordered. I do love the British craft magazines I find at Joann’s and sometimes Barnes and Noble. (but expensive!)
Besides the magazine, there were stamps, an edge die, and cd AND dvd?
Have to check mine!
thanks

Hi everyone,
Thank you for all of your ideas to try. This seems like it will be very helpful. I haven’t heard back from the company yet, but when I do, I will let everyone know what the outcome was. Have a happy day:smileyhappy:

Good Morning!
In order to play DVD’s on a computer you need a program that ‘allows’ you to play one. That is, IF you have a DVD drive in your pc. You can download many free ones (or temporarily) – as you need them. WinDVD comes to mind. (I burn blu ray and dvd’s and create movies on my pc’s – so I have several programs that do this)…
You may even have one if you ever set up your "Media Center"… (not on Win10)…
For Win 10, M$ screwed up and did NOT include any software for playing DVD’s – so you have to manually download and install one. (previous versions usually do – not in all cases, because it depends on the ‘bundle’ you got with your computer.
Cd’s will also play on your computer or DVD player.
I have the Crafter’s Companions, too – and can watch on both pc’s and tv set top boxes.
I would help all of you here – except each one of you will have different OS’s (operating systems) and different bundles of sotware included. So, if you have a DVD movie (or even start with a DVD data disc) AND you have a DVD player in your computer (can be internal or you can buy an external as cheap as $19.99 and plug into usb) – grab WinDVD or another ‘movie player’ and try it…..
And you wil feel so ‘techie cool’ after you do this! 🙂

Hi there Grammy5,
Some of the dvd’s for Craftier companion you have to watch on a dvd player hooked up to your TV. I had to buy one and hook it up to my tv in order to watch my videos from Craftier Companions Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and pencils. However I could print out the coloring designs from my computer.
I have the Ultimate craftiers tool birthday bundle and I can watch those dvd’s on my computer via adobe flash player. Now that was using windows 7 and 10.
I was rather disappointed that I had to get a new dvd player for my tv. The room that the tv is in is not where I do my crafting so I could only watch and not color along with the dvd.
The dvds are very informative and good to learn from. I do like the Ultimate tool but it is a bit hard to use and line up the lines. In the videos the demonstrator shows you how to do it and make all the items with the Ultimate tool.
Sorry to nadymom that you did not get your dvds and to send pack.
Also the Crafting companions Customer Service is very nice and helpful as I contacted them to find out how to play these dvds.
Hope this helps you out,
Your HSN friend,
Cupatea
