The UP and Down of Clearance Pricing

thanks for letting us know!

The way they present RFID protection on the shopping channels, they make it sound like someone can stand in the middle of large crowd in Grand Central Station or a carnival, and collect hundreds or more cc numbers just like that. It can’t happen, and doesn’t happen.
If you’re not careful, you might swipe your card (even non-rfid) in a skimmer mounted to an ATM or gas pump. Some criminals are putting bluetooth transmitters in gas pumps, and you can’t even see it. They sit in a car nearby collecting all the numbers.
If you happen to hand your card to a dishonest server in a restaurant, they can skim the card or even write down the name, number, and security code.
Think about how many retailers have had their systems compromised.
I wasn’t wiped out, but money was removed from my savings account twice in a week, a total of several thousand dollars. Who did it? The last teller who waited on me before it happened.

all of them at once though?
different banks and credit card companies?
how? maybe too long of an answer?

, I don’t believe electronic pickpocketing is a threat. IMHO (In my humble opinion), the RFID scare is a sham. There’s other ways your card numbers are more likely to be stolen.

tg211 are you sure it is a scam? or is it just dated?a few years ago all my accounts were suddenly drained and i chalked it up to rfid – but i don’t know for sure :catfrustrated:

You’re welcome . If you ever do receive an RFID card, all you have to do is call the credit card company and tell them you want a card without it. Newer credit cards have an EMV chip, which is not the same thing as an RFID chip. The whole RFID scare is a sham IMHO.

I’m slowly raising my hand to say I like Euro pillows; combined with a regular pillow, they make a great backrest for reading or for doing whatever (!). However, I do oppose pillow overkill, like the ten previously mentioned.

ldolphin, I thoroughly agree with you on the Euro shams. It is such a waste of money. Maybe HSN is selling them at a low cost to get rid of their stock/inventory on this style…”EURO SHAMS.” The warehouse is overflowing.
And I agree with Velvet—–so, so glad that trend of bedding is gone.
Florida 3216, your correct on that trend being a “CHORE!” It took so long to stack and style the pillows. I must of had 10+ pillows. Half of the time I had the pillows on a bench in my room until I knew guest was on the way….lol. Now all of us WOMEN have FREEDOM FROM THE PILLOW/SHAM ATTACK….lol.

Oh they were big 10-15 years ago to “dress” the bed. The in thing was to layer and layer with pillows on your bedspread/duvet starting with the large euro shams and then getting smaller in sizes and shapes with each row. It was like a full-time job. What a chore that was.:womanlol::womanlol: Thank goodness minimalism is back!:smileyhappy:
