What I did when I started out was setting a goal of 5,000 per day and every step above that was in bonus territory. I started walking everyday and started out with small goals. Within a couple of months I was walking over 3 miles a day.and often farther. Any steps are better than none.

Every step you make could be a step in the right direction. I say that 10,000 steps every other day is better than no steps at all. In other words, it’s enough to keep you motivated and moving along. Stay focused and do your thing.

I was curious about the Char-broil recipe contest as well. (Here.) They may have just announced the winner on air and I missed it, but I never saw a congratulatory posting.
