Slinky Brand Material
I like the heavier Slinky material. How can I tell when I order Slinky Brand online?

Hello FaireMaiden,
It is good to see you at work today:-)

Easy… on the Product Page, scroll down to the ‘OVERVIEW & DETAILS’ section. At the bottom of this is a Box, (in the center of the page), that says ‘MORE’. Click on that and scroll down to ‘CONTENT’. There you will see what Material is used and the Percentage of that Material.
The ‘Original Slinky’ was Acetate and Spandex. I seriously doubt you will see any Slinky on HSN now that uses Acetate anymore, (although we all keep checking, *lol*). Mostly it is Polyester and Spandex… sometimes with a bit of Rayon thrown in.
If you want the Original Slinky Acetate Material, go to Ebay.

BTW, welcome to the neighborhood 🙂 I tried to smile for you but it isn’t working for me this morning.

Hi . When I saw this thread I started a conversation about all the vendors and their materials. I hope you don’t mind. I hate material that clings and am hoping I can find out what to look for from everybody selling clothes.

I just received two brushed knit Slinky tees today and this material is even better than the original Slinky. Please, Jackie, bring us more of these. I also prefer the shorter tee length to the longer tunic length. These are perfect! They are on clearance and I’m so happy I found them before they sold out. There are some wait list colors still available.

Not up community how to’s. Please note my response re:Slinky. Excellent question!

I like the the heavier material, also. That fabric was an acetate/spandex blend. It has a great, substantial, weighty feel to it and drapes beautifully. I have noticed an occasional rayon/spandex blend but have not tried it. The fabric they are mostly using is a polyester/spandex blend.

I like the heavier material too and it’s harder to find all the time. Very occasionally an item will be listed as ‘original Slinky material’. That is what you’re looking for.
