Slinky Brand- Any Help?
Does anyone know if slinky brand is true to size? I hear them saying that there’s alot of stretch to the fabric so I am now trying to decide if I should order down one size? Thanks to anyone who can help me 🙂

I have no idea anymore what exactly “true to size” means. Sizes for different brands are so different….
Sorry I can’t answer your first question.
I can tell you comparisons though. Slinky brands is about the same size as much of antthony and CSC. It is at least 1 or 2 sizes bigger than some other brands on here – names escape me at the moment.
If you are a big fat woman like me who likes her clothes slightly loose so as to avoid highlighting the rolls of fat, buy your size.
If you are a skinny woman who wants her clothes very tight and form fitting, size down at least one size in tops (maybe 2) and 2 sizes in pants.

I have learned to always look at the “garment measurements” and not HSN size chart. I have found it’s a hit or miss with these designers. They say once you find your size in a collection to order that size for all clothes in that collection. I’ve found that not to be true. In the fullest part of my bust I’m 43″. I have found that I need to buy the size that is around 39″ for the dress or top to fit me. If I buy the size for my measurement it is huge on me. I’ve had to return many items because they were too big. Hope that helps you some.

I have several Slinky items. According to the HSN size chart, I’m a large and that’s what I buy in Slinky. 9 out of 10 times the fit is perfect. However, I just returned an item because it was too big but going down a size may have been too small so I returned for a refund.

Many items in these lines are designed to fit lose, allowing 4″ between garment and body or even more. So that will be a discrepancy source, too.

UGLY TSV FROM SLINKY!
THE TOP LOOKS LIKE A BEDSPREAD MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER HAD ON HER BED BACK IN THE DAY. THE TOP IS TOO SHORT IN THE FRONT. I REALLY DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE WOULD BUY THIS. IT SHOWS ALL IMPERFECTIONS. DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE WANTS TO WEAR SLINKY. IT IS A HORRIBLE FABRICATION AND IT LOOKS CHEAP. PLEASE, LADIES!!! SNAP OUT OF IT!!

:-k HUM…I have a ton of Slinky. I love it!!! I am in between a 1x to a 2 x in different brands. As the others comments mentioned there is a lot of give to the Slinky line. Because of that I usually buy the 1x. When I first started to buy Slinky I ordered the 2x and had to always send it back because it was way too big. My advice is to buy the size according to the size chart that HSN has listed…get it home…try it on…and see how it fits. If it is too big or too small you can always send it back. Then after that you will have a better idea of what size you should buy. :-k Hope this helps in your decision making!!-Sandy

Gorgeous TS – but I will pass because the pants do not come in petite and so I can’t wear them. Tempting still. This will be a gorgeous top to wear under a blazer.

Although I agree that some Slinky are not so bad (but never worth regular price), today’s TV is extremely ugly and unflattering……Not even one host or model looked good in it……why would anyone think that it will look good on them?????????
-
#-o I’m wondering …regarding Slinky? Is the Joel Schecter that is mention the same as the Joel who brings
Honora Pearls to QVC? -
Grandma, these clothes are most flattering on me. I mean it seriously, they make me look very good. This particular set would look smashing with a blazer. I am an apple shaped fat short woman and these are my clothes.

Massha…I am very sorry…I did not want to upset you or anybody else…..If you feel this way about this particular garment it is all right…….I stay by my opinion thou…because I did not see (truly) even one model or host looking good in it…I think it was something about proportions, and the stiffness of the top’s fabric…….Maybe if they have bigger range of model’s sizes, it would look good on somebody………..Oh, well ..we like things which somebody else might hate….I love maxi skirts and dresses and I am sure that a lot of ladies can not stand them…..
So, please…no hard feelings…..Have a great day and happy shopping…peace… -
@damasa63 I thought the same thing too. And I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. But after buying a couple of Honora Pearl items, for the price they are charging for the size and quality Pearls by Veronica has them beat by a mile. Too bad HSN replaced this collection with the Imperial Pearls brand.

How long are they going to be doing that? Until Christmas?
No must have’s for me either yet.

I bought the David’s teapot cookie jar. I’ve been admiring it for awhile. It’s a good price today.
