Sharif Smelly Dust Protectors

I went overboard and ordered many of Sharif’s bags during his last two shows. I love the original designs but have had a couple disappointments, like HSN QC opening a bag and then not wrapping it back up correctly so the fringe is all bent and twisted, instead of looking factory new. (I’m returning that one unfortunately – it looks awful now.)

Anyway, the reason for this post is that some of the dust bags, the orange tote-bag style (not the drawstring) have a horrible smell. It’s strong. It is infused into the handbag in which it was enclosed, and rubs off onto my body and clothing. It smells like an Indian perfume or maybe incense. Has anyone else gotten these dust bags in their order?

I wish the bags were all drawstring, large enough to enclose the bags (only 2 were large enough) and did not smell. I’d rather pay a few cents more for a larger, appropriate bag that would enclose the purse instead of get throw-aways and have to purhase them elsewhere.

Overall I’m very happy with my new bags, though! Just the smell, oh, the smell.
