You might be familiar with QVC, but if not, you can find clothing for all sizes, without an up charge for larger sizes. There are some great designers, Louis Dell’Olio, George Simonton, Isaac Mizrahi. The quality and detail of their clothing is excellent. Their sizing goes to 3X and flatters all sizes. And the prices are considerably lower than the Melissa McCarthy line. I love her as an actress but I agree that her prices are high.

I agree that HSN sets Melissa McCarthy’s prices too high! (The vendor does not set the prices.) And it’s not like the quality is THAT great (IMO). Maybe I ordered a couple of weird ones (on sale), but the 100% polyester tops should be a higher grade poly at those prices. I was surprised. Also, sleeves were too tight and garment body too large.

I agree the prices are high…moreover, they are not USA made (not that much is anymore).  However, where are the savings from imported, over-seas sweatshops, that we should expect?….just a little joke, ladies (sort of).  Also, did I hear Ms. McCarthy say that she was 5′ 2″  a little while ago?  That must mean that there are full-figured women 5′ 2″ and under (besides me and her) living on this planet….I can’t see where any of her pants or skirts reflect that.

I love Melissa’s clothes but as a single mom I can’t afford them and about QVC their sizes are slightly larger too and you don’t pay an upcharge. But I’ll keep watching Melissa’s segments and vicariously living through those who do get to order them!

I don’t think she sets the price, she designs the clothes with Seven, which is a pricey designer jean company, with that said the price of her jeans are less than the actual Seven jean sells for on Nordstrom.  I have many of her pieces and get compliments on all of them.  I am curvey, but take an 8 in her pants and a medium in her tops.  I love her clothes.  Yes thay are more expensive, but they are different.   Marla Wynn, who I like also, isn’t cheap either.  You get what you pay for.  All the HSN designers charge the same thing for an item of clothes no matter what the size 2 or 3x.  So I do not think this is overcharging for curvy woman, that makes no sense.  Sorry.

I’m afraid that I agree that Melissa McCarthy’s prices are a little too high for my taste. I’m on a fixed budget and can’t afford them. I’ve taken up shopping at Walmart. Find that they carry plus sized clothing that is great for work and play and much much less expensive.

Yes, I also think Melissa McCarthy’s items are overpriced….it may be b/c of her “connections” in her family….And, if she’s going to be a contributer to HSN, then she should NOT be making political comments and thereby offending some who are good HSN customers in long standing…just saying….Agi,N.Y.

Hello ladies!  Now I know you may all think I’m biased, but I shop HSN too  🙂  and I wanted to weigh in….   Melissa’s line is def a higher price point than some of the other jeans we carry, but they really are a great quality product. Currently I have 3 pairs of her jeans, all different styles. They are a heavy weight cotton blend with solid stitching and great construction. They have built in fabric to help tuck my tummy and my boyfriend thinks they make my bum look great (tee-hee). For me, I buy them when they are on sale and offered with FlexPay. I think they’re worth the price because I can tell they will last a long time. I’m also a big fan of Jessica Simpson Jeans I have 4 or 5 pairs of hers. Jessica’s jeans are super comfy and fit great, but they won’t last as long; they’re a much lighter weight fabric. 

Gosh.. I think Melissas meticulous eye for good fabrics and genuis details make her designs worth every penny and im very discerning. I was impressed from her first appearance and knowledge and experience in design techniques and construction..She is one of my favorite designer on HSN and her designs definitely are very similar to well known and more expensive designers.. her clothes fit so well and the higher quality is reflected in her fabrics and the unique colors constructed details. Shes the real deal! Love her designs! ??

I am not trying to cause issue … but I for one am a very large female. That means more fabric. More fabric means more material etc. …

Does she at least have real size models? different ages or heights
