Marlo Thomas – That Girl! XOXO!
When I was a little girl, I used to watch “That Girl” reruns every day – this is before I even went to school full time – and I adored Marlo Thomas beyond all measure. By the end of those years I had watched every single episode of the show. I can still picture the details of her apartment in my mind and certain phrases remain – “Oh Donald!” It was only recently when I saw Marlo would be featured on HSN did I realize what an influence that character she played had on my life, more than I had ever imagined. That sassy, funny, independent, fashionable young woman that took risks was truly one of my GREAT role models and made me realize what a debt I have to her to put such a show on TV for young girls to watch. I recently went online to learn how much thought had been put into “That Girl,” and was very moved by it all. Anyway, Marlo, Love You! For that, your work at St. Judes and your emerging apparel line, I’m forever a “That Girl,” too. xo

Sorry I missed it . I love that show so much and watched every single episode . Cut my long black hair to look exactly like Marlo’s. She definitely set the trend back in that day. Looking forward to Reading the reviews on her clothes. This is Sassygranny122 now known as nightcrawler 44 . Having trouble getting used to my new name !

OH MY, OH MY… How much I love Marlo Thomas and the show ‘THAT GIRL’. I wanted to be her so BAD when I was young. Wanted her hair, wanted her clothes, wanted her white hat (the one at the beginning of the show), wanted her eyelashes. Her smile was so darling. She was just the cutest!
My cousin looked so much like her. When I would go visit her (every Sunday after church) I would just be at awe with her, cause I thought she was the next big thing to Marlo…lol…The white hat remind me of Jackie Kennedy’s hat(s), and I adored her.
Had to watch her tonight. Love her clothes, but; I will agree w/Fairemaiden…need length to be longer.
Also, so very proud of her on all her work towards St. Jude’s Hospital, and her late father, Danny Thomas. They have saved so many LIVES. God Bless ya’ll for that!

Oh, oh, oh! I’m watching the show and, Marlo, you’re just as adorable today as you were in ‘That Girl’! I so wanted to buy your Textured Sweater in the ‘Peony Pink’ but, Marlo, it’s too short… 24″-L is just too dang short! I don’t want to speak for the other women on this Forum, but I think, across-the-board, we need at least a 28″ Length in our Tops, Blouses, and Sweaters. Thanks for listening, lass… love ya to pieces!

I am binge-watching all the shows. I loved watching That Girl back then, and it hasn’t lost its charm all these years later. I wanted my hair to flip just like hers, and I loved the clothes she wore on the show. I remember thinking then that she sure had a lot of cute outfits considering she portrayed an aspiring actress.
Donald was great, too!

I as well, but the original airings. Her grandparents lived in my hometown and my husband’s father used to do work for them. My father and hers had met and were countrymen. Times were different and gentler.

I too loved That Girl when I was very young. A couple of months ago there was a That Girl marathon on one of those channels that airs different old shows. I stayed in the whole day watching it! Times have really changed but I still enjoyed watching it very much.

I like the sweater 521-527. Finally, mostly cotton!

I also watched many episodes of “That Girl.” Hutcheroo, you brought back the memories when you mentioned, “Oh Donald.” I always wished she would end up with Donald, but, of course that never happened. The two of them did have some chemistry, though. I am also looking forward to her line and will be watching.
I also watched her dad, Danny Thomas, in “Make Room for Daddy.” If I remember correctly, Danny Thomas started the work with St. Jude and Marlo followed in his footsteps. Through the years she has always remained true to herself. And I just adore her with Phil Donohue.
