Marla Wynne Sizing Issues

I usually go down a size in her clothes, and that is almost always consistent.  Until recently, I got 2 pairs of palazzo pants (which are just like I pair I already have, just new colors) and matching tops.  They were all huge.  SO, HSN sent me the next size down and it was too small.  That’s never happened to me before.  So I had to return all of it. 🙁  I almost bought several things yesterday and then changed my mind.

I always review my purchases, and in my reviews I have commented about MarlaWynne’s confusing fit and sizing and the lack of information in the presentations. I am not on Facebook, so I cannot reach MW that way. 

Marla and the host rarely ask the models what size they are wearing and what size they usually wear, which would be most helpful. Lots of gabbing and blabbing, but not enough sizing information, and I am very frustrated about it. I considered buying a couple of the new items, but I didn’t have enough size and fit info, so I didn’t order. (I am not going to order an item in two or more sizes to see what fits. No.)

Yes, there is the Garment Measurement Chart, and, yes, there is a fit guide  in the online description (although I noticed it is missing from one of the new tops), but this information is not enough. It doesn’t tell you whether something runs so large that you need to size down two sizes, or whether it runs small in the bust, hips, whatever.

Online Shopping 101: Customers need size and fit information so they can order the right size! 

Please HSN tell your hosts and vendors to start talk about sizing on apparel!!:womanindifferent:

She likes stuff big on her.  My mother was the same way.  

I know this is of little comfort to you but you have a pretty solid chance of getting the items you want in smaller sizes in about 3-4 weeks. Clothes do get returned because of sizing issues and I often get the size I need on the need go round. Her clothes “generally” run at least a size too big, sometimes two. That being sad, I have had to exchange a couple items for bigger sizes but that has been very rare.

Thanks for the info, go girl. I’ve almost ordered a few of Marla’s items but have been so confused about how they’re sized that I’ve passed. It seems like many reviewers advise going down a size but it is upsetting that we need to order this way to get a good fit. I hope she sees this too because I’m sure she wants those who purchase to be confident that what they purchase fits well. 

go_girl that is such a drag! sorry that happened. Online shopping for me is a constant issue of figuring out what size to get which varies greatly from vendor to vendor and even sometimes the same pant from a vendor in a different color will fit wrong…. yet over all because I can’t get out as much as I’d like and hsn comes to my door I am used to it and grateful for the wonderful things I’ve found that do work.

If you google Marla you will also find her own website and can write her there directly. Further she and many of us read reviews so a detailed review of the issue can help many of us.

I ordered 2 tops from her line, I used the garment size chart and I am waiting for delivery this week. I might have to return , my size might be sold out. Garment sizes are really big, If you could go online it might help with sizes. I will see this week if it works ordering by garment size.

Maybe Marla/the host used to ask — or at least asked more consistently — what size the models are wearing, but it seems to me now that the videos are more of a gabfest with the host about random things. Perhaps the live shows have more size and fit information, but I watch the videos, not the live shows.

, I wish I had been interested in buying the items with the Marla size and fit inquiries that you saw. I really like Marla’s clothes. I want to order them, but I do not want to deal with exchanging/returning if I can help it, especially since her things sell out so fast.

For example, here are two items I am interested in ordering: Item 518-130, and Item 505-526. In the video for 518-139, Amy (talking very fast throughout) throws in “it fits true to size” — well, great — uh, what does that mean? No one asked the models what size they are wearing. On top of that, the online description is missing a “fit” description. There is a garment measurements chart with measurements, but that does not help with whether I need to size up or down.

For the poncho, Item 505-526, I went to YouTube to find older videos that hopefully had size information, since the one up now doesn’t give us that info. No luck. I searched on YouTube for QVC’s UK video to try to get size and fit information! Still didn’t hit the jackpot, but I got more information there than I did on HSN’s site.

What is wrong with this picture.

I m trying to give HSN money! I think I’m working too hard! 

 Edited to add: I LOVE a detailed review — I depend on them — but frequently the reviews are not helpful, e.g., “Love this sweater! It’s fabulous! Great fit! I get compliments all the time!”   argghhh … lol

Wow Great Everybody!

I just hope Ms. Wynne Reads and pays attention. Her line is pretty expensive to order 2 or 3 of everything just to get the right size????? Help us here. I am really upset about sending so much back and not getting what I want when I plan ahead.

Now I had to send back the 3rd Shirt for  the 2nd time and order again. Im sick.

Her shirts have shoulder seems and if they hand off your shoulder it looks like a bag.

So this chevron shirt…..

I had to go down now 2 sizes because they look they are hanging like a bag- like I am trying to cover up more than I am- ug. It is nice and stretchy.

Even two sizes down the bust size on HER measurements is still way to big.

This better fit.

Since I sent back all the others again…. I will just wait and sent this too big one that I kept and steamed and was going to keep in that ones envelope.
