Jackie from Slinky Brand

I wonder why this old post has been revived? It’s offensive IMO. If Jackie were fat, ugly, bald, had a physical handicap, would that be a subject for ridicule, too? I say you go, Jackie! Do what you were born to do and don’t hide at home because somebody may not like how you sound. If I sound rude, I’m not apologizing. I don’t believe in ridiculing people for something they have no control over. If people heard my Texas accent, I would know better than to come to the Community boards.

Yeuup…That woman sounds like she is a reporter at the scene of a natural disaster! I can’t even watch it. Thank goodness for the host having an extra calming voice to give your ears a rest. That woman is depressing. Can you imagine her saying…,”I am standing here at the location of one of the worst tornados to hit this area in over TEN YEARS!!!. Here we have a pile of cars 30 feet high, and over here we are looking at, get this folks, a bathtub in a tree!!”….Blahh, Blahh, Blahhh

….I can’t hit the mute button fast enough. She seems like a nice lady, but she needs to get that sense of urgency out of her of voice and take the volume down a few notches. 

I too admire Jackie and appreciate her expertise on Slinky Brand.  I just wore my very first slinky to a bridal shower on Saturday and I must say it felt great, super comfortable and wrinkle free all the way through, received lots of compliments too.  

Maybe her voice is not for everyone, but what makes you different can also makes you special.  Be kind to one another is my motto, we are all human, and no one is perfect.  :heart:

I’ve begun to Like and Admire Jackie.

She apparently has a speech impediment, but she doesn’t allow that to stop her. …  and she Shouldn’t. 

Jackie knows the Slinky Brand and she represents it expertly and professionally.  She does a wonderful job presenting the clothes. She is kind and polite to the hosts and to the models.

Jackie, you had a winner with the original “slinky brand,” what in the world made you switch fabrics?

I notice that you have a ton of stuff  (pages of it)  on HSN that does not sell well and ultimately gets marked down dramatically. However, I would not buy any of those items no matter the price, they are not the much loved original slinky. 

Jackie, it is not my intention to hurt your feelings, but seriously I would appreciate an answer. 

Thank you kindly for reading my post and hopefully you will consider offering the “original slinky” again. You’ve lost a lot of customers, who would return if you would once again offer the “original slinky.”

There are options “turn your tv volume down”, “turn your tv to another channel” or “turn your tv off”. Let the rest of use enjoy what she has to say and offer. Jackie is doing a wonderful job. Let these old post be in the past.

Jackie’s FIL invented Slinky and her husband is in charge of garment production.  Even her MIL does the fabric prints.  It’s truly a family business.  Understandably, there’s nobody more knowledgeable about the line than Jackie and the other family members.

Love Jackie, love her enthusiasm and excitement about a great product. No one knows the line better tha Jackie.  You’re doing a great job Jackie, don’t change a thing!

I could not agree with all of you fellow HSN viewers any more on this one. Jackie from Slinky is like listening to nails on a chalkboard! Its almost painful to watch let alone LISTEN to her at all. HSN does need to talk to her and replace her w someone else. For all I know she could be a genuinely nice person but I can’t get past her obnoxious high pitched Lisssspy voice. I mean come on, she has to have heard this before right? Either replace her or send the woman to Speech Therapy and some TV etiquette c!asses. My ears can’t take her anymore and you know the hosts are all trying not too bust out laughing their butts off. !! :/

I wish they would bring back the ORIGINAL Slinky tank tops.  The newer version is awful.

I’m sorry, girls, but I find your remarks offensive in the extreme. I have a very dear friend who is totally deaf in one ear and she sounds just like Jackie… loud and monotone. If you have a problem with the clothes, fine… don’t buy them. But personal attacks are rude and uncalled for… ‘there, but for the Grace of God, go I’.

That is EXACTLY what I came here to say. Her voice is HORRIBLE. I want to see what’s for sale but I can hardly stand to watch because of her shreiking, nasal voice. Somebody get this thing a voice coach. Good heavens!! It’s awful.  Shut her up!!!

I really think someone is slowly helping the revamp attempt. New style dresses, vests, ponchos, capes pointe and vests. If only someone would ease out the shapeless printed jackets and dated McCall’s patterns! I mean not one pencil skirt! How do you design a ladies clothing line without a pencil skirt! I am sorry. Been suppressing this for a while.

Jackie, with all due respect, please get some lessons on public speaking and working with your tone of voice and pitch. I have to watch the Slinky broadcasts with the sound muted because your voice is very unpleasant to the ear.
