Melch, love calamari! The squash sounds delicious (so does everything else!) What are .Zeppoles? Fried candy bars and Oreos sounds so decadent! Recipes?
-
Melch, reading your list made my mouth water:womanhappy:and added inches to my waist! How delicious!

Zeppoles are small fried Italian doughnuts and sprinkled with powdered sugar(10X sugar) The dough pulled and put into the hot oil by hand and each one is a different roundish shape. Delish!

I thought HSN would get rid of the “selected customer” coupons since so many of us voiced that we felt discriminated against.
-
, and others in the HSN community. I am still very dissatisfied with the coupon policies. I really don’t understand who they are marketing to with the “select customers only” coupons.
I find the coupon policies very divisive and when other members hear or understand what is going on they too become offended by it.
HSN is losing customers and i thought that would be enough to make them change or reconsider their policies. Eliminating what i would call discriminatory practices would be enough i would think to change their minds, but so far nothing beneficial for everyone.
I appreciate the work you and others have done and i respect you all for trying to stop this inequality. I look to you and other members on purchases, products and sales. I have been with HSN for some years and i enjoy their products, otherwise i probably would not shop here. I like the community and the forums and now it seems more of that will be taken away. That bothers me as well since something better is not given. Maybe HSN can afford to have dissatisfied customers and turn people off to their changes that only benefit HSN.
I have seen no evidence of marketing revamping the coupon system since September. Can they produce this evidence?
I would like HSN to address these and other questions directly on the forums.

thank you for asking.
I am not a fan of coupons.
- I want the best price available at that moment listed right on the product page.
- I do not have the time to chase down coupons.
- I do not want to monitor my emails for them.
- I do not want to search the site for them.
- I do not want to monitor forums for them.
- I do not want to scour the internet for them.
- I do not want my shopping dictated by if or when I can get or find a coupon.
i hate it when brick and morter stores play the coupon game. i want to shop and buy when it is convenient for me. i want the best price available when it is convenient for me.
the best price available on an item should be right there for everyone to buy if wanted. the best price should not be affected by who has the time to find coupons.

The last two coupons I received were literally the next morning after making huge multi item orders. Coincidence.I’m beginning to think not.

Kemi, the special coupons that I have received have a limit. These are not true coupons in my book. Other websites have 10%, 15%, 25% and more where you can use the coupon all day and not on one item. Also, I received a “Birthday” coupon last month that I could not use. Reason, the one item I liked was in red. No, it wasn’t a clearance. It was just reduced, not a sale, for a time. No where on the coupon did it say you could not use it on a item that was reduced. So, there has to be some disclosures. We are not mind readers. Also would like to see a coupon that is an actual 20% off. It could be for one purchase or several. A few years ago this was the norm. Today, not so much. Sometimes I get a laugh on the “select” coupon when you can only use it up to a certain amount and it covers S/H only. There was a discussion on this as well. People felt they were being ripped off. My main feeling is that, like yourself and others, that a coupon is for all. Not for a select few. All disclosures should be on that coupon. Nothing in print and the customer for some reason cannot use the coupon, he or she should get that amount off at next purchase as spendable Kash.

Also, why can’t HSN put a coupon for all to see on their web page like everyone else. I don’t always have time to check my e-mail everyday and too often by the time I read it, the expiration date hits me like a ton of bricks because it was yesterday.
-
I find it frustrating–it’s like those stores that provide a $10 coupon off a purchase of $10 or more but there are so many exclusions it is hard to find something to use it on—cannot use it on best buy items and every rack has a best buy sign on. But then there are some stores that seem to be excited about saving you money and go out of their way to use your coupons and will ring p multiple purchases if necessary.
The type of coupons coming from HSN do not get me excited about, I can see not using them on clearance items but limit there.

In my neck of the woods, the people that rarely buy from HSN are the ones that get coupons.
HSN is very comfortable with regular customers because it is repeat business. Why bother to offer incentives?
-
As much as I love receiving a coupon, I’ll still buy things without one if the price is right.
Many B&M stores occasionally have extra discounts and incentives for their store branded credit card customers, and I’m OK with that. I’m also OK with the fact that HSN does the same. I don’t even have any store branded credit cards.
HSN is the only web store that I shop with that offers coupons to “selected” customers. I can only guess how some customers are selected. Sometimes is might be to reward frequent shoppers. Sometimes it might be to get someone who hasn’t shopped in a while to buy something. We’ve seen often enough what happens when those coupons are shared here, so I don’t need to explain why I think coupons for selected customers only aren’t a good thing. If HSN sends me a coupon, everyone should be able to use it.
