Getting Political

I sent an email to HSN this morning about cancelling my membership after 20 years. They did respond timely w/in a few hours. I was told that HSN did not carry her line and are working w/ the news agency to correct this line. If this is the case I wonder if the other network dropped Melania’s line. In any event other shopping outlets have dropped Ivank that it is totally ridiculous and outraegous. All the young lady did was pay her respects w/ her father to a fallen NAVY SEAL. This is what should be done and not be ignored as the prior admin

Hats off to the people out here who feel the same as me. We need to boycott such nonsense.

Just heard on the news that HSN will no longer sell Ivanka Trump . Say it anin’t so or I will be dropping HSN forever. 

Hello Everyone.  We would like to clarify that the Ivanka Trump line was never offered at HSN.  Recent news articles that state this were written in error.

At HSN we are non-partisan and our product decisions are based solely on a continual evaluation related to our business.  While we don’t take a political position at HSN, we recognize that our employees, our partners and our customers will have wide-ranging views on politics and public policy. That sometimes means people will have differences of opinion, but we welcome and encourage that diversity of thought.

The QVC  use to sell  Ivanka Trump jewelry but that line was  dropped a while ago .  I do not think it sold all that well.

Years ago QVC  sold  Ivana Trump (Ivanka’s mother) had a great line on QVC . It was  a great line  of fashions and jewelry . 

HSN did sell Trump Home and dropped that. Here is a deleted quote from their website: “31” Trump Home Empire Chrome Table Lamp Trump Home lighting reflects elegant design and classic appeal. Inspired by the mansions and historic properties ..”

READ MODERATOR APRIL’S COMMENT.    Ivanka was NEVER carried by HSN and you have fallen for false news.  WHO did you get it from?  They are using you.  How do you like being manipulated?  Think for yourselves people, don’t just fall in line with anything you hear.  It’s dangerous.

HSN NEVER carried her line.  You all need to see the post by Manager April.  HSN never carried her line.

HSN  sells to mid America.  We like Trump and what he is doing.  Discontinuing Ivanka’s line is pure political cave-in. Shame on you that you are so weak.  I will be removing myself from your shoppers list.  I think this decision is a big mistake on your part and you will suffer the consequences.

If you are a shopper at HSN you would know that HSN does not carry Ivanka Trump’s line. And you should read Moderator April’s post a few posts down from this one to verify that it was a new mistake. False news as it is being called these days. 

But that is no reason for anyone to be going on and on attacking NEW FRIENDS posting here. It should be understood that you can be new to posting and not be new to HSN. Clicking on the user name will show some profiles and show how long a user has been registered in the forums. 

This does not make this an open or welcoming community when attacking people for being New Friends. People posting for the first time, and being critisized for it, that is just wrong. 

Anyone has the right to post what they feel and being NEW to the forums shouldn’t stop them. 

HSN you are digging your own grave.  Do you realize who your loyal customers are?  You have just added another to the boycott HSN list.  Stay out of politics.  We are sick and tired of being bullied.

Wow Mixmaster, do you have a glass ball and can see into everyone’s lives?  Just because someone is new, does not mean they have never shopped HSN.  New would be “NEW” to the community.  I think your attacks are uncalled for and telling people not to be bullied is just so wrong. 

I don’t buy Ivanka’s fashion line, I dont buy anyone’s specific fashion lines.  I don’t buy clothes here, I buy what I want, and when I want to, and have for years.  I don’t spend thousands and thousands of dollars per year here, but when I do buy it is for myself, or gifts for family and friends.

I think what people are trying to say here is that the need to become political is not what people want in their lives.  Just like they have said, “we come here to shop” not to be political.  We are of no specific side here.

I don’t know whether HSN has actually done this to be political, that would remain to be seen, so I’m not ready to throw in the towel.  But I do know that I am getting extremely tired of all the nonsense going on in our country right now.  We have a new president, like it or not.  Just can’t we all get along?
