Black Jeans???
What brand is the best for black jeans,
that keeps it color?
I’m tired of a couple washes and they look faded.
Any recommendations?..Thanks!

Hi everyone. Was a really pretty day here today. 77° and all sun, could not have asked for a prettier spring day. Sorry Mr B and Bernice. Will send it to you next. Got my score to post. 59,230 Good thing tomorrow is the last day, I am no longer feeling interested in saving that little monkey fannypack. lol I see that storms are on the menu for the weekend for a lot of us. Please be well and safe. Bye.

I have good luck with Levi’s and also Jones New York for resisting fading, but Jones New York has been bought out and even though they are keeping the name, I don’t know what they will be like. I know the most recent styles are not what I would expect from that brand. Don’t know if material and quality will also be different. I read some reviews where it said sizing was different. Groan. That’s what I had liked about Jones–I could always wear the same size. I also try to avoid much spandex or stretch as that seems to ‘whiten’.
Let us know if you find ‘your’ fade resistant ones.

I have had great luck with Joe’s jeans. I get them at Nordstrom Rack where they are much cheaper. I have 2 pair that are 2 years old and are still deep, dark black. I don’t put jeans in the dryer and I think that also helps. I have also not had any fading problems with White House Black Market black Jeans. The brands that turned that dark charcoal after a couple of washings were Gap and Old Navy so I won’t buy black Jeans from these places. Although I do like the super dark wash from Old Navy, they don’t have a fading problem.

I take my “black” jeans to the dry cleaners and have them dry cleaned. The color last forever. It’s worth the money, especially if you spend a lot of money on good jeans.

Thanks !! for the input
I’m going to check out your suggestions! xo

Levi’s black color lasts forever for me…or until I need a bigger size 🙂

Do u already do a vinegar rinse when they are clean and new?

I’m not sure if this helps but my black jeans are fine – I wash them inside out with other black clothes on a very short gentle cycle.

kemiqueen-Thanks for that suggestion..no, I have never tried that.
My recent purchases were Jennifer Lopez skinny jeans
and Super skinny jeans.I’m so pissed after a couple washes….
I do wash inside out…they are faded.
I hate faded black jeans.

As Kemi said use the white vinegar –
I have also just bought black dye at the local drug store when they fade out after a few years- Ritt brand. And usually for jeans use double the amount. The instructions well be included w/ the dye.
The next time you wash them after they have been dyed you can do the vinegar soak.
If you dye clothes in the washing machine be sure to run an empty full load to clean the dye residue out so you do not ruin future laundry.

I like Melissa McCarthy’s black jeans and I was them all my darls in Woolite for Darks, and they all hold their color and wash in cold water.
