VTEC SUPPORT VS. ELITE SUPPORT
Okay. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to find a thread on the horrible company called VTEC SUPPORT! All I see is Elite support. I’ve bought 2 laptops lately and they came with a voucher for lifetime SUPPORT from Vtec. The first laptop was for my teenage son. I expected to get help setting it up and all. It took forever just trying to get a hold of them. This company is a scam and what they want to do is sell you their junk. I fell for it as I couldn’t get Vipre installed. $300 later after they sold me their Defender Pro Virus protection. Ohhh….theyre good at a bait and switch game! Anyways, a lady from HSN Corp. called me and I did appreciate that. Kept that computer and thought all would be well.
Then bought myself a laptop. It wouldn’t connect to my router. Just was stuck on a screen. The rep. was rude and it was very frustrating! Of course he talks about virus protection right away. Told him I have Viper I’m going to install. Bottom line is BEWARE OF VTEC!!! HSN should not be doing business with them. If you have a complaint with them, HSN can’t help as they say they’re a 3rd party. I sent my computer back. No way was I going to deal with that mess! My son called Vtec last week for help on a few security questions that popped up and the rep. told him to ignore the red flags from the Microsoft icon! WHAT??? He said they just want to sell you their products. I think he’s confused with his own company! JOKE! No need for a manager. We’re getting that Defender Pro uninstalled and never calling them again. I don’t trust these people. LIARS!

I know to only buy directly frmo the Manufacturer.
All my Apple electronics I buy directly from Apple, and also buy their own Apple Tech Support for peace of mind.
Same for Hewlett Packard, I also buy directly from HP and also if need be purchase their tech support.
For electronics large $ items I also purchase extended warranties directly from the Manufacturer’s of the items because one never knows when something will suddenly conk out leaving you in the lurch, and for my $ I prefer to buy with complete peace of mind,.
I also always prefer to deal with companies that completely comprehend utilizatilno of professional computer terms when offering electronics technical support, and totally understand and can relate to the English Language spoken in the good old U.S. of A.

I bought an HP Pavilion All-in-one desktop from HSN a year ago -still under warranty. I was almost scammed when I crashed recently. The “company” had a different name, but also wanted $200 up front. Now I just received an email from VTec thanking me for reaching out to them ((which I haven’t) and letting me know they’ll be calling to help me. I’m also surprised that HSN has any association with them by that name, when clearly they need to end it on behalf of their customers. I’m lucky to have a friend who’s a skilled geek, who got me all straightened out.

Number one the buy on my new PC was as close to a scam as it could be ilegal. First of all after two days of trying to bring or get a hold of someone from Vtec support was rediculous. Then after deliberating with my tech we realised the disk had to be cleaned and zeroed out so that ended up being a another 24 hrs.Now were next day and trying to get vtech support again what a mess, originally the way they promote this I thought I was getting HP support and was totally excited. Now theyoung man I ended up with was exceptional but a salesman to. Reason for this statement I had problems an figuered down the road it was gonna happen again and it has and I cant raise vtech support surprise. The dam computor is slower than my ten yr old PC thinking of boxing it up sending it back and putting a new hard drive in mine an movin on.vtech which I agreed on bought into the support for life but what good is it when u cant raise them on the phone and it cost me 200 bucks to buy into itsupport that is. Was surfing net last night and guess what on a smaller screend PC all in one same as mine they gave life time support FREE pissed me off to the max. And the promotion package to me 500 dollars of soft ware scam most is time dated soft ware only good for months an maybe a yr then u have to buy sucks. Needless to say I am not real happy with HSN nor the vtech. My christmas present to me turned into Mr. grimm showing up.

Vtech support for my Dell inspiron 15 is ok as long as you don’t call them too much. They did put a flag on my computer for calling them too much and i was told to get a new computer from Dell as mine was only 3 months old with problms on all componets.
Yes the first time i called Vtech they wanted to sell me their virus protection. You get that any where you go for computers. I have my Viper and as far as i know it works fine. Jusy decline.
For you people whom buys electronics product you will find the manufacturing warranity is the same as HSN. You can only get a new one for the first 30 days. After that you are on your own. HSN will just say my my. You can expect to not have your computer for three weeks if you have to mail it off.
Here is the phone number for customer care center for Dell computers: Sanjay S.
800-624-9897 ext 72-83898.
Good luck

Dec2014, purchased in good faith, hp/laptop windows 8.1. Why?
24/7 support with elite. Think magic word is fraud. They are out of
business. Today, hsn, finally gave me numbder to vtec. Hope will help
me. On tv, they go on and on about free/lifetime support. Have the
friendly support person on air. Never happened for me with Elite.
They even gave me the wrong activation code. HSN stated last
month giving out vtec phone # to elite customers. Took a year?
Purchased another hp, 3 months ago for son. Planning on
another in couple of months. Love flex/pay. Thank you for your
feed back.

Thanks Rhiannon and Matt09ad for posting. Bought 6 TSV computers in since 1998 from HSN (Athlon, Sempron anyone?) Switched in 2010 to the Q network because of lifetime tech support which has worked very well, understandable, no major upselling, problems solved remotely. Since HSN began offering what sounded the same, almost bought the last two TSVs from HP– that convertible was so hard to resist–glad i didnt. Hope HSN solves this problem.

if your not selling the product they make no money to justify your $8hr wage, they requir agents to have at least an rpc (revenue per call) of $15.

Hey rhiannon I was hired by this company for a week. today i was fired for no reason and told if I wanted to reapply i could. its funny that this technical support company had so many technical difficulties with the systems they were training us to use. the software they sell (stopzilla) is crap and they dont even use it on their own computers, they use 360 total security. they trained us to put the customer on hold for 20 seconds then comeback and say, "im still trying to find you a copy of this software" then put them on hold again for 10 seconds and say "good news, i reserved a copy for you at a great price" the trainer said they have numerous copies on hand but to make it seem like it was flying off the shelf’s. we were instructed to get as much as we could from the customer, we were told to make up a price that we thought the customer was willing to pay. each employee is on a 10% commission. and worst yet you dont get paid for the training until 30 days after you start taking calls.

Diane7821 If her would deliver I would buy all he had. I would recommend his products to anyone I trust him and his vitamins. I’m so thankful that HSN has him as a vendor.
