After upgrade to Windows 10 many have had questions about their Vipre. I did some research after I found my OS was missing protections. It took some time but I have the lifetime protection that HSN promised! You have to research and be proactive. KEEP YOUR VIPRE!

I have windows 10 on my laptop and got Vipre after having trouble with and not liking other things. I like it, it got rid of a couple of bad things that got sneaked into my system attached to something innocent. The ONLY thing I don’t like is somehow this “Driver Update” thing got loaded on with it and it is constantly putting up a window that says I have 12. or 15 or 17 or ?? Drivers that are “missing” or “out of date” and of course they keep asking for $$ to “update” them and the system to “make sure everything is up to date with the “latest”. I am going to spend a day soon to figure out how to get that stupid thing to stop! But other than that I think it seems to be OK.

HSN is a VIPRE fan.

If you have Windows 8 or higher and uninstall McAfee, Windows Defender will automatically turn back on. Try it out and see how you like it before you decide to buy something you don’t really need.

I have had Vipre since day one when I got my new laptop with Windows 10. I have had no problems with it in any way. I guess I have been one of the fortunate ones that have had no problems with Windows 10, or Vipre, or any other items that are on the computer. Sure hope this keeps up.
I have contacted VTech, lifetime tech, for things I wasn’t familiar with and they also were no problem. They were very concerned about me understanding what they were doing in my computer and were very knowledgeable and patienct with me. Also, when VTech asked me what protection I had and I told them, Vipre, they said that was a good one.

I don’t have Windows 10 yet, but I have heard that Windows 10 needs No third party anti-virus protection. … It would make sense because Windows 10 is self contained much like Apple and Google, so Microsoft protects the entire system.
I will soon purchase some Windows 10 computers and I plan to run them Without Vipre or anything else except Windows Defender.
I guess the answer is that Vipre is good, but you might not need it.
I would check with a Tech person. Perhaps someone at Best Buy or with Microsoft.

I also like Vipre. The only problem I have is on my laptop and W10 keeps turning off Vipre firewall and a window comes up and I have to keep saying “yes turn on Vipre firewall”. After about 10 tries, if I miss clicking it, then W10 turns on Windows Defender?

Mcafee is okay, but they are dirty. They scheme up ways to take your money.
I have Vipre and I’ve had no problems with it. I like Vipre.
