Vipre vs Fix me stick
Is the Fix me stick to clean up what vipre doesn’t catch? Vipre is an anti-virus and fix me stick?
-
I am not sure of the answer only that neither of them worked for me.
-
This is aggravating. Before Fix me Stick HSN said all you need is Vipre, vipre is the best, it does it all.
Then all of a sudden HSN was selling FixMeStick and said you need both. Well some of us don’t have the money to buy everything.
Now HSN says they work with each other but I haven’t heard them explain how they work together.
I have Vipre and I like it, it does work in the background, and doesn’t work against me when I’m doing something else, like McAfee. McAfee always came up when I was trying to do something else and would lock up my system.
Vipre has not found any viruses, malware or whatever on my computers. So personally I think Fix Mestick and Vipre are probably the same thing and HSN wants to sell both so they say they work together and do different things. That’s fine, but you need to explain why they are different from each other. And keep in mind that there are MANY of us that cannot buy both.

I have both and haven’t reviewed them yet as I’m really not sure about either of them now. It gets even better though when HSN is selling an electronic device with their awesome lifetime support, smh, and bragging how great they are along with Vipre. I have to change the channel as Vtec doesn’t like Vipre and will do all they can to sell you another antivirus that’s very expensive.
You forgot that Wincleaner or whatever it’s called Trekky. lol! I won’t be sucked into that one!

Hello,
The FixMeStick is a computer virus removal device. It is an external, hardware based product that runs before Windows starts enabling it to remove viruses that software anti-virus programs often cannot.
What makes the FixMeStick® virus removal device different from anti-virus programs?
Your Windows operating system, your programs, and all your content are stored in files. When your PC is on, these files work together like a complex set of gears to deliver your PC experience. If one of these files becomes infected, it compromises your system so that it often cannot be cleaned by anti-virus program files.
When your PC is off, your files are off too. They are just bytes on your hard drive: dormant, and unable to take any action. The FixMeStick virus removal device runs while your files are in this off state. As a result this hardware device can often remove infections that anti-virus programs cannot.
So how does the FixMeStick virus removal device remove infections that anti-virus programs often cannot?
Anti-virus programs are software tools that run while your Windows operating system is running to protect Windows from malicious software like viruses, trojans, spyware, and malware. Protection from these malicious threats is important and running anti-virus protection is highly recommended.
The FixMeStick virus removal device is a hardware tool that runs before Windows to remove malicious software that got past your anti-virus protection. Once malicious software gets into Windows, it can be impossible to remove while Windows is running. Independent security experts and government security agencies recommend cleaning an infected PC with a hardware tool like the FixMeStick® virus removal device that runs before Windows starts.

What is the difference in fix me stick and vipre
-
Vipre is pretty good, but HSN Push Vipre Hard! Hard!!!! … They must get a Huge percentage from each Sale.
I’ve considered just using the Free Microsoft’s Windows Defender only, but so many ‘experts’ say that WD is not very good. But I think Microsoft would know best how to protect its computers.

I assume Fix Me stick is a bleak imitation of what Norton tools used to be. It’s not so much about dealing with infections as fixing up little things that break and accumulate, errors in files, fragmented drives, that sort of thing. I for one am terrrrrribly suspicious of no-name sticks that claim to fix my computer. These things can actually cause more mess than what you started with, especially if they start disliking something your anti-virus is doing. Color me sceptical, but I would never buy a no-name software off a TV shopping place whose expertise is in costume jewelry and stretchy clothes and anti-aging creams – especially software that starts messing around with the operation system and registry and who knows what. If you think you need software to fix things, get Norton or McCaffee or some other known tool. But better don’t. If you don’t know what you are doing they will only harm you anyways. You absolutely need an anti-virus (I like Kaspersky), but you totally do not need the fixme stick.

I have both the Fix Me Stick and the Vipre. I love them both. I If you have any issues the customer service on both items are excellent. they can also take control of your computer to correct any issues that you may have. The Neat is another excellent item with excellent customer service. I have the Vipre on all my computers, tables and cellphones. I had an extra I even provided to my doctors office to use, once he used it on his home computer, he purchase for all his office computers.
