Viper vs Windows versus protection
recently I spoke to Mircosoft rep because of a virus scam. She said that my third party virus protection Viper was not compatible with Windows 10 but to only use Windows Defender for protection. What is you thoughts on her advice? It seems as if there is a decrepencey here? I have not had much success with the last computer with Windows. I am very much afraid to purchase another Windows because of the virus issue bit like the feature of the 13" HP for $499. any advice?

I use Windows Defender, because it’s free, and I don’t have to download anything since it’s already part of the OS. I also don’t believe in paying for software when there’s so many safe and effective products that are free. I’ve owned four computers since 2004, and have never paid for any software. I also use the free version of Malwarebytes.
Whether paid or free, no program is 100% effective against viruses, trojan horses, worms, and other malware. The first line of defense is being careful what you click on.
