Treasure try on wifi before activate?

I did not know you could try out a phone with wifi before you activate it. I thought after you charge it, it always says phone not activated and you get a blank screen. Any feedback on how to do this would be greatly appreciated!

Try turning on the wifi and connect to your router.

Go to settings, make sure WiFi is selected, click on WiFi and you will see your router listed. Select your router to connect. You will only need to do this once.

I had to turn on wifi and also make sure data mode was off. You will have to put your password for your router in once the phone finds your connection.
