Tracfone Refill Questions
Hi everyone –
My mother-in-law didn’t realize that her days expired on her Tracfone (she doesn’t use it much). We are estimating that the days expired a few (maybe 3 or 4?) weeks ago. Do you know if we now need to get her an entirely different phone with a new number? Would we be able to add days to her phone at this point? Any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

To reactivate an existing TracFone I personally had no problems adding the increment 90-day service plan to my phone with its existing telephone number. I ordered the TracFone Treasure and while speaking to a TracFone representative learned to keep the 1350 minutes with activation anytime after purchase you will need a new number. And I was advised that after you said that you can Port your two phones together and sweat the number of your choice. I hope this information helps someone. Also, if you need more text only minutes it will cost $5 1000 minutes. This is good to know. So it would appear that you can separately add to each Bank as needed for a small price. Still the best deal in town and the telephones are improving on all the shopping sites so do your comparison because they are competitive and also the same phones HSN / Q & E even has phones, personally the best deals are on HSN keep watching 4 best deal between 1200 / 1350 minute programs

I’ve always been told the most important thing is to add more days on before the service end date. I found this online for you but it seems you will likely be able to reactiveate the phone, but NOT at the old phone number. A new number will have to be assigned. This is what I found:
To maintain TracFone Wireless Service and keep your phone number after it has been successfully ported, you must buy and add a TracFone Prepaid Wireless Airtime card before the Service End Date that is displayed on the TracFone. If you do not buy and add more airtime prior to the Service End Date, your TracFone Service will deactivated and you will lose your phone number. If you lose your phone number you will not be able to reactivate the wireless number with any other wireless or wire line service provider. A deactivated TracFone can be reactivated and a new phone number will be assigned after you buy and add any denomination TracFone Prepaid Wireless Airtime card.
Hope that helps!

You can reactivate it..Depends on how long its been but you can likely still keep the same number..If its been to long you can still use the phone with a new number..Go to the tracfone website and you can do it all from there.Set up an account for her and it will likely show the phone and you can reactivate it from the account..
