Tracfone Refill Cards
Hi folks –
Does anyone know if Tracfone often has sales on their site? I’m new to Tracfone and haven’t activated my phone yet. I was going to purchase a refill card right now to have on hand for when I activate next week. Turns out I couldn’t just purchase the card, I needed to have a phone already set up. The deal I’m interested in expires tomorrow. I’m hoping they run similar sales often (this sale was for $15 off a 365 day refill card). Anyone know? Thanks for reading 🙂

I’m not sure how often they run those promotions for airtime prices..They are pretty standard..Sometimes my local supermarket runs a special on the airtime card..not often though.
No matter when or where you buy airtime..go to their site first and look for bonus codes..pick a code (or a couple just in case one doesn’t work) to match the amt. of airtime you are purchasing.. they vary.. up to sometines an extra 200 minutes..It doesn’t extend your expiration date though…I always buy the 1 yr. card and can always find bonus airtime codes…I have used Tracfone for over 15 yrs.
Good Luck

Hello sid44. I have been with Tracfone for a long time but have never purchased air time and minutes except in a store- not over phone or website. I have 2 phones. One is mine and one for hubby. As soon as I purchased a phone for hubby that included 30 extra mins. each time I purchase a card I never got to use a coupon code again. I’ve had a triple minute phone for awhile that didn’t use wifi and I never got any of the specials except the triple minutes on that phone the whole time I had it. I purchase my air time mostly at CVS and I usually do the 60 mins. and 90 days. If you don’t purchase the one year card I think all the others for “time” and mins. are 90 days. Data might be different. Please don’t get mad at me for saying this but HSN has such good deals on their phones it is always less expensive to buy a new phone with the year included than to purchase the card. I’ve never seen a year card for less than $100. I live in Alabama and our state adds a 911 fee and sales tax to each card you purchase also. That’s something HSN doesn’t do. I kept my old not so smart phone for a long time because it was small and these new ones just keep getting bigger and bigger. Tracfone is discontinuing the 2G service in my area so they gave me a new phone for hubby. I didn’t know it when I purchased my phone but my old one was also going to have to be replaced. You might love your phone and what to keep it for a long time but usually within a year something better shows up. The year card (if you purchase one) is good no matter how long you wait to put it on your phone. I have received Happy Birthday offers every year from Tracfone so you might can get a deal. Good luck with your phone. I like mine so far.

SLD44 you can guy air time cards in various stores but don’t use any of them when you activate your phone or you will lose the air time minutes you get when you purchase the phone. After that runs out you can do as you please with airtime cards and minutes will carry over. the airtime minutes that come with the phone don’t carry over.
