Tracfone LG Sunset Feature Quesion

I have a question about turning off the mobile data on an LG Sunset L33L phone. Can that be done? I will not be near public WiFI very often and really don’t want the phone "using" data to update, check apps etc. all of the time, and would like to turn that off when I am not using data. I see in the LG tutorial that there is a button that says Data On-Off, but I have also heard that ATT doesn’t allow that to work. Anyone have experience with that??

I love the snow..I love the scenery, I love the fresh air. I love the mountains. I love the sitting by the fire and the hot toddy’s…I love all that. I just don’t like the skiing. LOL Our kids snowboard. They love it. I enjoy watching them…but not doing it. Someone needs to be in one piece when they get hurt! LOL
