tracfone and simplyactivate
I have a question for Tracfone users or HSN mods:
Does simplyactivate take care of transferring your phone # and remaining balances from one tracfone to the new one?
If not, what is the correct series of steps to activating the new phone, doing the transfers, and getting the 1200 promotional minutes? If it’s all explained with the information that comes with the phone, you can just say so and I apologize. I haven’t received the phone yet, and am somewhat concerned reading all the reviews on the phone.

Rec’d my LG tracfone android…I tried simplyactivate.com over phone & online so many times..and it wont activate!! Should be easier. So aggravated & disappointed. NO toll free number to talk to a live person either. not happy right now..waiting to hear back from an email… Michele

I feel bad for people who have had issues… I am on my 5th Tracfone (the last 2 being androids) and I have never had an issue yet. And now it is done on their website so you don’t even need to talk to anyone (unless you have issues)

Overall, this is an ongoing horrible experience to the point that I highly recommend that HSN stop selling these phones. Simply returning the item is not a sufficiently strong way of expressing disappointment. If incompetent customer service agents at TracFone were even the least bit cordial while ineptly mishandling activations and roll-overs, that would help to assuage some of my frustration. But rudeness is intolerable — and that is the only way I can describe the extreme mishandling of what should be straightforward activation.
Following the printed instructions — precisely — simply did not work. Thus we had to resort to their phone "pool" and repeat all the same steps we had judiciously followed earlier — only to lose all new minutes that came with the new phone, be left with a deactivated, useless old phone, and absolutely no expectation that anything positive or productive will ultimately come from this experience.
The incompetence is not on the part of us the purchasers.It lies elsewhere and HSN needs to fix very, very aggravating issues.

I want to port my existing number to the new phone and use the new promotional minutes. But I want to leave the minutes I already have on the old phone for my husband to use with his own number (from Verizon). Can that be done? Thanks, Fran

Stay away from Tracfone bad service not a good company at all. I had gotten the triple minutes which was 180 minutes. I called December 27th they said i went over my three month of mbs. I have to wait till January or i can purchase a card for $15 which has 700 mbs. I did plus paid for my triple minutes which start in January of $19.99 guess what? I didnt get my 180mbs i have called four times with different excuses.Looking into another carrier. HSN bad mistake. Stay away from Tracfone.

I have tried and tried to activate this phone I received on the special from HSN. . I already have an old phone and I have decided I will keep it instead and return this new one. It is either out of my league or I am just plain stupid. I prefer not to think of myself this way but this phone and activation certainly has made me rethink my abilities. Totaly frustrated so I am opting to return the phone.

I was able to activate and transfer my phone number and minutes, but my promo minutes and service time didn’t show up. I sent an SOS email to the simply wireless address as recommended by others. I hope they get back to me soon. I’m glad this community exists as all the other avenues I tried for assistance were fruitless. Why does HSN make it such a secret as to how to get assistance? Especially when it is for something you already paid for?
