Switching from "Major" Carrier to Tracfone

Hello, I received my LG treasure.  Since I prefer to talk to someone rather than get myself frustrated on the computer, I called tracfone customer service.  I geve them my number to port over, my account number and my PIN number.  It was done in less than an hour.  All my apps transferred but my contacts did not, this is OK because I probably needed to delete some anyway.  I went from month to month to tracfone.  I downloaded an app to keep track of my minutes.  Since I have never done this before I have no idea how long 1350 minutes will last me.  I also downloaded an appt so I could get my yahoo emails from my desktop.  So far so good.  No problem sending or receiving texts, phone calls or emails.  I am happy with this phone.  I am sure it will do more stuff that I am not aware of.

Try calling the customer service department for support.

just call your carrier first and get all the info you will need to switch your number over to tracfone. they should know what you will need to have to transfer it.

If you aren’t transferring your number to tracfone you can do the setup and then call the number on the blue card and give the into on the red card.

I’ve answered this before but when you go through the setup it will ask if you want to backup from a device etc. and gives you some things to choose from, one of those is your model phone or name of it. if you select it it will copy whats on your other phone to the new one. If it doesn’t show your old phone it may show other backups you have of your phone and if you select that it will do the same thing. it copies EVERYTHING.   the new phone will have the info from the old one but it’s still not activated. that is another thing you have to do when you are ready but contact your carrier and get all the info tracfone would need to transfer your current phone number to Tracfone.  If you are going to tranfer your phone number to the new one
