Shipping recent purchase

Uh. OK … Now I am seriously concerned. It said my TV arrived in New Orleans on the 3rd and now on the 4th it’s in Dallas Texas!!!! Wth???

In the Northeast UPS works Monday thru Friday. I have also noticed that there are no updates on the weekend, even for Florida. Lately, though, there has been a delay if the items are from the Tenn. warehouse or if UPS or USPS has to circumvent an area due to fire or storms. Now, if the item is being sent from the distributor itself, then there may be other issues such as keeping up with the orders while training holiday staff, etc., etc.. HSN is not the only retailer. You have Evine, QVC, and others, all dealing with thousands and thousands of customers on a daily basis. Especially now, with the Christmas season upon us, and great deals from Black Thursday, Black Friday and Cyber Week can you imagine how many UPS trucks and warehouses out there are trying to fulfill everyone’s request. It’s really a wonder that most people actually receive their packages. And yet there is one more scenario in that UPS holds a truck until it’s completely full. I also remember when HSN used just USPS and there was no way to check where your purchase was and you just hoped that it would come in one piece, within the time frame and delivered to the correct address/ mailbox.  

@Oodie Actually UPS usually runs on Saturdays, but not Sundays. At least here it does.

I have that same problem.  It shows my packages have a label but they have not moved.  I think HSN gets the label but it sits in their warehouse for days.  Then they move them all out at one time for UPS to pick up.  I spoke with USP and they said just because HSN says shipped that is not the case.  So our packages just sit, BUT HSN uses that time frame as counting towards, they billed your card and if you want to return those are dates against you because they use the shipped date.  So the customer is SOL!!!  I called HSN and the girl treated me like I didnt know how to track a package.  They are just useless people hired to pasify the customer.  As for the prices I found the same item in the store for the same price and I am getting nothing extra from HSN.  Why not cancel?  They put the item straight away into “packageing mode” so you can not cancel.  I am going to have to rethink useing HSN in the future.

Thanks Oodie. The delivery sate wasn’t as important as it was that UPS tracking had showed the package sitting in the warehouse without being picked up by uPS for a week.  I’m glad it’s here now and waiting to be delivered. 🙂

It actually says Tuesday. Which is fine – I’ve got to get wrapping paper anyway.

Well, just looked out of  what’s kinda of become habit – It now says the item has arrived here in New Orleans. It went from label initiated to arrived at destination in one fell swoop, We will see come Monday. 🙂

I guess I will continue to wait then. But why does UPS say Monday Dec. 5th? And when I look at it on HSN’s page it also says December 5th?

Hi candace. Thanks 🙂  Yes, the david’s cookies order is still being filled. I assumed it would take longer because they are baked fresh and aren’t estimated to be delivered until the 16th.

Teardrops was asking me about my television – which is still saying label created but UPS has not picked the package up – which means it’s still sitting in Samsung’s warehouse in PA.  UPSchoice indicates shipping label has been created and once the shipment arrives at their facility the tracking number will be updated. But it has said this since Sunday Nov 27th at 4:30 am. 

I have 2 other packages coming vis surepost. I know one of them has been delayed by what they’re calling an operational difficulty.

I’m just wondering why the TV is still just sitting in the warehouse and not been picked up by UPS. BTW – the estimated delivery – according to uPS is Monday Dec. 5th. When I called customer service the agent argued with me saying the estimated delivery is December 9th. It’s true when I first ordered it the system said the estimated delivery would be Dec 9th, however, UPS updated that date to December 5th once the label was created.

Either way, 5th/9th – I’m still baffled as to why there’s been no movement at all since the label was created.

No update at all. While the other items have been updated several times now. However one of the other items say something about a delay due to operating conditions.

I’ve done hundreds of dollars worth of online shopping in the last few years. Never seen a package sit for nearly a week with no updates after creating a label.

, Did you get a update yet on your tv? While I will order  jewelry and handbags online, I would never order  electronics no matter the deal. . I too have UPS choice which is good. But the video’s showing how Fedex and UPS just throws the packages is not a comforting thought. I have watch UPS from my picture window throw my packages, without knocking on the door or blowing their horn. I hope you are home when your package arrives!
