LG Treasure / Tracfone
Hi again folks –
Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase a screen protector for the LG Treasure that was offered with Today’s Special a few days ago? I can’t seem to find any on the web. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks so much for your time.

Does anyone know if I can answer this phone by just a tap than a swipe? I’ve tried everything I can think of and cannot find anything. Thanks!

I found mine on ebay.

I got the phone, but like another poster, I couldn’t leave a review…said I hadn’t purchased it. Imo, the best screen protectors are the iLLumiShield protectors found on Amazon. Any accessory for the LG K7 will fit this phone. As someone else pointed out, the protector does not go all the way to the sides because of the curved screen. I applied it to this phone, and it looked great.
Unfortunately, I did not find out until I had bought accessories and activated the phone that my phone was defective. It had no sound at all. While I was waiting for it to activate, I downloaded my apps, arranged them like I wanted, set all my settings like I wanted, etc. I didn’t even think to check ringtones or a You Tube video to see if it had sound! And because I was switching from the Ultimate 2 (CDMA network–Verizon) to the Treasure (GSM network–AT&T), the phone took forever to activate, and I had to contact Tracfone through their Facebook chat. The agent was able to activate the phone almost immediately, but that’s when we discovered the defect. The CS rep abruptly ended the chat, and then after numerous calls, transfers, cut-offs, etc., corporate was finally able to transfer everything back to the Ultimate 2. What a nightmare. lol
One thing I did not like about the phone was that I found it very difficult to swipe to answer a call (discovered when calling from my home phone to see if the phone was activated). I did not order another as I am going to go with a Samsung next time and hope that HSN will come out with the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. You swipe to answer it, but only one way, so I think it should work better.
I did return the phone to HSN, and their CS reps could not be more helpful. I just got a bad phone but will stay with TF and try again in the future. Just glad my Ultimate 2 is still working.

I’ve been looking on Amazon for covers and screen protectors under the LGK7 & LG Tribute5 after a helpful HSN customer told me they were the same phones. I also noticed most customers were very satisfied with the covers but the screen protectors weren’t working for them. I have never ordered from Amazon before but was shocked by the amount of shipping they charge. In most cases the shipping was equal to or more than the items. The prices on the covers were very reasonable but the shipping made up for it. Amazon wanted me to sign up for AmazonPrime for one free month and would make the shipping free. Does anybody know how much AmazonPrime costs after the free month??
I too spent the day activating my new phone. I couldn’t get my phone to do anything until it was activated. It wouldn’t recognize my wifi until Tech got involved but I have my Tracfone number and over 3000 mins. from my old phone transferred now. I will sleep better tonight than I did last night worrying about it. LOL I found out that my old phone was a 2G and that I was going to have to get a new phone whether I wanted one or not. Tracfone just hadn’t got around to telling me yet. They would have given me a phone but no extra minutes or time. I’m glad I already had the phone. Good luck with your phones!

I tried to make a review on the phone but it wouldn’t let me, it said I hadn’t bought one :catindifferent: I’m in the process of setting things up and so far things are going great…even though it is Friday the 13th-lol. I went to YouTube to check out a few videos to check the screen resoluation and I think it’s great, there was no freezing either. I use the Nova launcher to make things run a bit smoother but haven’t got that set up yet, that’s the project for tomorrow. Now for the thing that people are concerned with..activation. It went smoothly, everything was transfered, including my HSN minutes in less than 2 minutes! I was transfering from the LG Sunset, another LTE phone so that might be the reason . I no sooner clicked the button at Tracfone and the old phone was disconnected and the Treasure was activated. I’ve only made the activation call (just make a call to anyone to make sure the phone is on) and there was no problems making the call. The phone is light and easy to handle, it’s bigger but not so big that you feel like you’re talking on a tablet. So far so good, it’s a keeper and I’m glad I made the upgrade.
If I can make a review later, I’ll move this there…I just thought people might like to know how it is.

I found some at Amazon, I got a couple of different kinds to see which seller has the best. You have to look for screen proctectors and additional cases under LG K7 or LG Tribute 5. They’re the same phone but the name is different depending on what country they’re sold in. The screen protectors will fit a bit different, they cover the middle and don’t go edge to edge because of the curved sides. I saw few people complaining they were too small but they aren’t meant to go all the way across. If you use a case it should cover the exposed areas.
Hope this helps :catvery-happy:
