LG Sunset Tracfone problem
My phone is deducting 2 minutes for calls under a minute. I am losing 2 minutes for every minute. Anyone else having this happen?

It’s not just the time you’re actually connected to the other party that’s counted. It’s the total time you’re connected to the network, from the time you click the call button until you disconnect. One minute is charged for partial minutes. If you talk for 55 seconds and are connected to the network for an additional 8 seconds, the total call counts as 2 minutes.

THANK YOU! Finally an answer that makes some sense. Tracfone told me the phone is defective and to mail it back. So it seems that even if you press “end” you may still be connected for more time. I just experimented talking for only 45 seconds and it only deducted 1 minute. On my old Tracfone you could hang up at 58 seconds and only 1 minute was deducted but I guess on these Smartphones it works differently. Now if you or someone else can tell me how to get a phone number with a local area code I would be happy. I was given an area code which is considered long distance so when my Mother calls me from the house to the cell it is costly. Tracfone told me the numbers are given randomly and they changed it several times only to get a different long distance area code. I do not know why I cannot get a local area code.
