HP Computers
I have been shopping with HSN for more than 20 years, and I am getting very frustrated. Is there anyone here who purchased an HP laptop with the promise of life time customer service? I did purchase one last August($800.00). I also purchased another in December for my son in college. I cannot get anyone on the phone neither can I send an email to the elitecustomerservicesupport.com.
I have had so many issues with this computer and cannot get any help and support. I spend countless hours watching the presentation and I know that the hosts are extremely dishonest. They use any means necessary to
sell these computers and then they abandon you when you have issues. Customer service keep telling me to call support, but support is non-existent. I am tired of the lies and deception.

I never purchase anything with "Lifetime Support" because I know that you are paying More for that "Lifetime Support". and that there are Two versions of "Lifetime Support".
(1). – Assistance coverage for as long as you have it in operational condition.
(2). – Assistance coverage for three (3) months.
Usually #2 is the "Lifetime Coverage" that they have in mind..
But with that said, I’m sorry for the problems and frustrations you’ve experienced. I think that they really think of "Lifetime Coverage" as basic information and assistance that you would get from a casual friend or from youtube.

I purchased an HP laptomp from HSN in December. It worked great for the first 3 months. Then it turned into a piece of crap. It computer freezes up. It drops the internet. The keyboard freezes. i would never ever purchase another HP from HSN.

I am a fortunate buyer, or at least I was. I have had this laptop for a while and have just debeloped some issues. Now I am in the same boat with you all, I can’t get a representive for any type of support. I think this may be an issue to raise with the better business people.

please keep in mind that this is an old post from the year 2015.
many things have changed since then.
i would first call hsn which is where you purchased the hp product to see if there is a customer service contact number whereby hp tech support can be reached.
also, go to the web search engine google and type in hp tech support customer service phone number
and see what pops up.
just remember, where there is a will, there is a way.
have patience and cheers to better computing, love. xoxo

I just ordered the HP 15″ on the 16th of October and it was supposed to have lifetime V Tech support. Went on the site that HSN had on the enclosed card and the computer was not on their list of the ones that qualified for the free support. I called HP and they said all that I could get is the free 90 day tech support. Called HSN a little while ago and they said HP is wrong. They gave me a number to call and I have been on hold for over 45 minutes. I have other things to do than to sit here and wait til my call is answered.

Good day,
Has anyone been able to obtain the ACTIVATION CODE needed for Tech. Support at V-Tech. I have been trying to get this to no avail for 2 days. I have been on hold for over 40 mins each time I call in. The first time I called in I was given the old Tech Support No. If this has been changed over a year ago, then HSN should advise the agent of the new Tech. Support Co. phone no. so the customers that have been on hold for over 40 mins, don’t have to call back in to get the correct phone no. Then when I was given the correct no., I was again shot down as they will not assist me without an ACTIVATION CODE in which they stated HSN should provide the ACTIVATION CODE. I have tried to contact Customer service and a chat agent at HSN. Neither one will give me the activation code as they stated they do not have it. I then called HP. HP stated that I should call back AGAIN (holding again for 40 mins) and to ask for a supervisor. This is truly poor customer service. Please let me know if anyone has any other advice as to how I can obtain this ACTIVATION CODE as I need assistance with my HP Laptop. Thank you!

I have learned from past experience with HSN, to not purchase an item because of lifetime support or lifetime warranty, because its not for your lifetime or the lifetime of the product, from my experience it for the lifetime it is in the hands of HSN, once it leaves there the phase “lifetime” does not exist. As one has stated in other comments, the lifetime is not HSN, it is a separate company. I purchase many items from HSN that has “Lifetime” and some as long as 10 yrs ago and some just a few months ago. When it seems too good to be true, it is. I just learned, that I would have to find another reason to purchase something from HSN besides the Lifetime reason, maybe just the price, reduced price or the fact that you can return before 30 days, some with prepaid labels and some without, you just have to guess which ones have a prepaid easy to return label. This has cut me back on a lot of purchases.
