Sounds like you’re having the same issues I’ve been wrestling with for a while. First off the slow charging issue is probably due to the cable you used. I had the same issue when I received my HP G2 tablet and only after some research did I find something specific to which cable you use. There were two included with mine. One for the tablet and the other is for the bluetooth keyboard. Try one and time how long it take for each percent of charge it takes. It made a huge difference with mine.
As far as storage on the SD card goes…. You cannot move applications to it (or not as far as my research yielded to date). You can move pictures, music and I beieve documents to it. I downloaded from the Google Play Store today an application that seems to do the trick. Open the “Play Store” on your tablet and do a search for “File Manager HD” and download it. It took some trial and error but I was finally able to move pictures and music to the SD card. I would recommend using the File Manager to create folders on the SD card to make it easy to know what is where. If I find something that allows movement of applications I will stop back and post the information.
I love the tablet and will admit that I am new to Android, but the limitations appear to be a combination of the OS and manufacturers adaptation of it.
I hope this helps you in your quest.
