Does this require an AC connection to work because the demo on TV the lady stated she put hers on the fireplace mantle and there was no ac cord being used? We have no AC outlet near our mantle?

@DC59, you do need to plug the Guardzilla into a standard outlet.

This was false advertising then, the TV demo was misleading showing the unit to be wireless?

I received mine today and I read the feedback before I opened the box, boy they were bad. Almost 1 stars as to 5 stars. I was thinking about not opening and sending back but I had to take my dog to the Vets and my Adult handicapped son didnt want to go but I had never left him alone for more than 20 mins, he doesnt know how to use a phone if something happened. I hought I would try the Guardzilla and if worked it would be wonderful to see him will I was 5 miles away and at lest an hour leaving him by his self.

I followed theinstructions on the phone, took less than 10 mins in all to set up. At the Vets I got on the app and saw him setting at his desk, I talked to him but he just looked around he forgot the camera I had set up, later I checked on him again and he was sitting on the couch. It was so easy to set up and a God sent that I can leave the house and check on my son. Couldnt have been easier.
