govision sunglass camera
Ordered a set of govision glasses with built in camera. Purchase arrived today.
I read a couple of reviews (via youtube), and the results were not "glowing" but mostly opinions
were: ok, not great, sending them back.
I tried them out a few minutes ago. Its dusk here and the picture came out ok. Audio was also ok. A bit grainy but for the purposes I will need them, I think they will work fine.
One point. The directions said charge before use (and that it should take about 3 hrs). I had them plugged into the computer and the blinking red light was on for about 6 hours–and the blinking light continued to, well, blink. Instructions imply that the light would go ‘solid’ – but it didn’t.
When I finished taking the video, turned off the device. Removed the micro disc and inserted into an SD adapter card, then plugged into desktop machine. It opened flawlessly and I was able to double-click on the DCIM folder and open the video I just shot. As I said the picture was a bit grainy, but was completely "viewable" and I could see what was being filmed and what was said. I suspect in brighter daylight it should work more clearly (hope so).
Anyway, as I hadn’t seen any other responses about these, thought I’d post something for others. Oh, one more thing; I wear glasses and this device doesn’t quite fit over my glasses (but might work if I use a sport band to keep the device in place on my head…we’ll see).

I am thinking about buying one to wear while out on the boat. I think the glasses might be easier to use compared to a go pro. Good to know about using during the day.

Good review 00flowergirl. I too have experienced the not so great resolution from filming but the video feed is workable for my purpose. Regarding charging and the blinking LED changing to solid LED when charged… mine set is working as was described in the instructions.
Fortunately I am not required to wear glasses full time, only need for reading, but it’s still cumbersome when I attempt to wear my reading glasses and the govision glasses simultaneously.

I just ordered 3 pair. One for my husband, myself and an extra pair just in case. I can’t wait to get them to video my children’s karate tournaments and basketball games. These will also give me a reason to wear my contacts that are sitting in the box. Plus I just had knee surgery and I’m using a walker, this will help me as they are hands free.
