Fire hazard

Last night on the news, saw report on hoverboards. Several have burst into flames! Many sellers have stopped selling due to obvious design flaw. Buyer beware.

It seems that from what I just Googled, that cheap hoverboards; the ones made in China (perhaps sold on eBay,) and the Swagway are the ones that were in danger of catching fire

One source stated there had been about eleven fires, all in all. Eleven fires from hoverboards purchased all over the world.

So, you still get what you pay for. However, Swagway brand is by the people who brought us the very expensive Segway. This brand was the most in danger of catching fire. And the cheap knockoffs.

I am a senior, and if I had the cash, i would take my chances with a hoverboard. I live in FL and it would be great to use one this time of year.
