Elite Customer Support – Non-Support
I purchased 17-inch HP that was supposed to come with Lifetime Support from Elite. My laptop came with Windows 8.1 and a few days ago I no longer had the start button (the little house). I called Elite and was told that I had to pay!
Excue me……no when I call I just get a busy signal. Their website only takes you to a "busy" screen where you enter yur name, phone number and email along with what the problem is and they never get back to you.
What’s going on HSN, this is fraudulent!

I wish I would haave read this blog site before buying my computer. I have many issues with my HP Laptop which I received only six days ago. It will be mailed back tomorrow! HSN has lost my vote! I’ll be looking into the other shopping network and it’s blogs before I buy.

I have recently moved and can’t connect to my WiFi. I already worked with my internet provider for 2 hours to resolve the issue. I get an error message saying it’s either an incorrect name or key, neither of which is true because there are 5 other devices connected. So I tried to call my "lifetime support" with Elite. The phone number has been disconnected and the website has been taken down. HSN packaged the lifetime support to its customers, it’s their responsibility to ensure that support is delivered, even if the 3rd party doesn’t uphold it’s contract with HSN. When does HSN plan to provide the customers who were promised lifetime support, with a backup fullfillment knowing that Elite is now defunct? I need my laptop. I purchased it last year.

I am not abeen trying for monthsble to get customer support for my 17′ laptop. I have been trying for mths. I have lifetime support! reply ASAP.

Ok, i’ve bought 6 computers from HSN beginning in 1998. I switched to QVC in 2010 because of their lifetime support and stayed for the touchscreens. .I almost came back to HSN for the last 2 TSV– Intel and HP are winners for me, and the convertible, oh my!
Glad I did not sucumb to HSN now after reading the probems with HSN authorized vendor This support service at QVC is US based, understandable, little upselling, and solves problems and I use it several times per year, since I dont know any 12 year olds.
Sounds as if HSN vendors (HP and Dell) dont offer the same level of service as those from QVC (also HP and Dell)??? Is this due to more customer focus at QVC, or savier negotiators at QVCs?
HSN can certainly resolve this problem with a poor subcontractor buy insisting the authorized vendor correct this non performance.
Know that in business the golden rule of "s/ he who pays rules" applis to HSN., definately the 800 pound gorilla of computer selling. HSN can drive the correct behavior from their suppliers even tho right now they seem to be leting things slide,

I think I am going to cry. There have been numerous problems with this laptop right out of the box, but it’s too late to send back to HSN so shame on me. THe customer service number I got for Elite is actually disconnected, so I can’t even call them. I did get someone to help from their website, but he put my computer in safe mode and rebooted and now it is stuck. I can’t connect to the internet in safe mode to continue our dialogue. I can’t call them. nothing happens when I reboot. I’m trying to get to elite on the internet on the phone and can’t get thru. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING.

It seems the problem lies with Elite. Everyone purchased their items from HSN, and their customer support is coming from Elite.
I am one of the most tolerant people around. However, when dealing with horrible customer service in a country where people do not understand me, I get very upset.
When HSN has enough complaings about the lack of service, they will do something about the lack of service being provided by HP.
And with all due respect, with most customer service operations outsourced, customer service operaters from another country, I can’t understand them and they have problems understanding me. As I stated, I am a very tolerant person.
I just got off the phone with no service customer service Comcast, so my blood pressure is very high right now.Make your voices heard. Don’t be rude to the reps at HSN, it is not their fault. I know the frustration. But make your voices heard and HP will have to up its game.

I purchased a HP Notebook on 11/28/2014 (Just under a year ago) thru HSN.
I attempted to install Deluxe Windows 2.0 which came with my notebook as part of the package HSN sells. Also, part of the package was the Elite 24/7 support.
After spending about 6 hours today with the run around from HSN, HP & Elite I will never buy another electronic product from HSN. Perhaps never purchase anything from HSN again.
They made it clear to me today (2 different CSR’s) that HSN is not responsible if customers can not get thru to Elite. When you call the number HSN provides you for the 24/7 support you are on hold for over an hour and they also offer an option for them to call you back. When you pick that option you get a message their mailbox is full.
When I suggested to HSN this is false advertising you when they toot their products stating they have all these bells & whistles which brings the value of the product way up and the customer is getting such a huge deal. When actually its not a huge deal if the customers do not get what they paid for. Such as software packages that do not work or the lifetime 24/7 support that does not exist.
I asked CSR to please make upper management aware of this as I should think they should be concerned. After all they are selling the same type of deals just this last week-end on TV. How would the like it if a call came in from a customer who instead of stating how great their HP notebook is/was and stating false advertising as no 24/7 support and software packages do not download.
Very disappointed with HSN.

It seems they are useless right now, got 2 different phone numbers. One1 waited 15 minutes to then get a FULL mail box. Just not quite sure where to go, but maybe a CALL to HSN, they are still using this w/new sales.

Don’t see any responses from HSN regarding the Elite Lifetie Support with all these complaints, interesting!!!!!!!

I too purchased the hp laptop and printer. When I called the Elite phone no. every line was busy and when i tried to leave a message mailbox was full!!!!!! This is fraudulent, when I called I was told noone else had complained and would pass to manager. I called again and representative was not pleasant, told her I was sending the laptop back. Bottom line I purchased HP support and had to pay for it, they offered no credit for this. I will never shop at HSN again, the customer service is awful!!! To advertise lifetime support and get nothing is fraud! DO NOT PURCHASE ANY ELECTRONICS FROM HSN THAT INCLUDES LIFETIME SUPPORT ON ANY ELECTRONICS.

I am not surprised. I would think HSN reads the reviews and comments and rethink their agreement with Elite. Same situation happened to my brother-in-law. He gave up and went to the local computer store for help.

My neighbor decided to upgrade to Windows 10 and then had all sorts of problems. She couldnt get online or anything she was so upset. I had a number for Windows 10 support and she called them. They walked her through everything (for free) got her up and running and now the computer is problem free and she is happy. Sometimes the computer support has no idea either as to what to do. Then they get so many calls they can not handle them. HSN people have absolutely no idea so they just give you double talk. Try Window and see what happens, just an idea.

Thank you Candace for finally getting back to me on Tuesday, October 13th even though my original post was on August 28th.
For all you having issues with Elite – Candance got me V-Tec support for my laptop that I bought last year and lost the windows start button on. While waiting 6 weeks for the reply from Candance, I downloaded the Windows 7 start button and have no issues with it, for now.
The laptop I just purchased in July of this year with Windows 10, lost not only the windows start menu but the the Edge icon disappeared as well. V-Tec did a factory reset that didn’t work, they re-downloaded Windows 10, which also didn’t work. I found the option online to setup a new user, and voila, that is working so far!
I also mentioned this to V-Tec since the issue is with Windows 10 and not the laptop as there are multiple posts online from people losing the windows start menu.
My thought for HSN, stop being so quick to sell items that may not work properly. It would have been much better to sell the laptops with Windows 8.1 and let the buyer decide if they want to upgrade to the free Windows 10, once all of the bugs have been worked out. Selling the laptops with Winows 10 included ALL the bugs and degraded your reputation.

I just tried to call Elite and the line us not in service, this is after I had been trying to get on line tech assistance. It had me on hold and then said that the hold time had expired.
I am having problems with my laptop. It keeps crashing,
What are my options?
I need thsi equipment for my business, and I bought this with plan just so I would not be out of service.
Please, please, please, help me.

I also have lifetime support and it is really great. When I first had it, I did not have trouble getting through. I saw that they are looking to hire people, so, I guess that they are really, really busy. I am persistent until I get through. You have to keep trying on the website. It is a bit of a bother but it is well worth the wait. I have had quite a few problems resolved with this support group. I hope you keep trying.
They must be low on reps. Try during the day. That is when they are least busy.
I get the" they are busy " signal and keep trying. No, they do not get back to you. Sad to say. They did at one time.
When you first start on this support group they request certain information to verify that you are a lifetime support customer. I do not know what happened with you, so. I cannot help you there.
Do not give up, once you get through, they will resolve your problem.
