DO NOT EVER BUY A DELL COMPUTER !!!!
I purchased a Dell computer from HSN. I got Vtech support and a full year warranity. This warranity is not as the host describes. With this so called warranity you can only receive a new computer with in the first 30 days same as HSN offers. Lord help you if a problem pops up after the first 30 days.
Vtech will try to sell you their antivirus program. Don’t buy it, it is a scam.
I have had nothing but problems with my laptop and Dell turned out to be the worst company ever to work with. This is the same with HSN. All HSN does is give you a phone number to call, which turns out to be a call center in India.
HSN does not stand by their products. Dell people have the same answer: I’m not authorized to do that. Ask Dell a question and you get the same blah, blah, blah answer, which is we are not responsable for any thing to do with the O. S. No solitary or Mahjongg installed. This is very importain to me as i have to go get cancer treatments and I am their for hours getting these treatments. HSN will delete the following information.
Try to call this number for customer support at Dell for thoes of you that are having the same problems.

I do not own a tablet… can you run several windows on the tablet? Also, there might be apps for tablets that allow "background" running. One fantastic one is "pandora radio" there’s free version and paid version. Works with skype, navigation, and all other apps on my iphone. Free one has just a few short commercials. You choose your favorite song and- voilas- the whole station pops up. You will LOVE it.

ariesmaiden- so sorry to read that you have had so many problems with your computer! I own a Dell Inspiron laptop I have had for about 6 years luckily I have a brother in law who is a whiz who fixes things when I have problems. So sorry to hear this and can only imagine how frustrated you are with calling all those numbers. Did you put this situation in the Customer Service forum to see if any of the moderators could help you? I certainly do wish you the best of luck & health with your treatments. I know how draining they can be & the driving to & from the appts. Prayers for your healing.

ariesmaiden, I can certainly understand your frustration and I’m sorry you are undergoing treatment for cancer. I didn’t purchase my Dell from HSN but I have had it for 7 years and have had no problems at all. This is actually the longest a laptop has lasted for me and I plan to get another Dell after this one. Again I’m sorry for everything you are going through and hope that you can get your Dell situation resolved. Take care!

Sorry you are having so many issues with your purchase.I haven’t used a Dell computer in years but still have an old desktop with Windows ME stored in a closet. Not long ago I turned it on just to see if it still worked and it booted right up.
Sounds like you got a lemon.I suppose that happens in any brand once in awhile but thats why customer service should be there.Like the other poster said try posting in the Customer Service forum and maybe they can assist you in getting some help. They seem to try and help much more than just calling in to HSN.
I sure hope you can find a resolution and Dell will fix the problems.Treatments are more than enough to deal with and you sure don’t need added stress. If you have a warranty they should fix the issue.

THats a shame, what exactly is the problem you are having?

Microsoft has Solitaire, Mahjong, and lots more for Windows 10 available to download for free. You can play games in the HSN Arcade too.

I know nothing about Dell Computers. I do know how draining cancer treatments can be. Best of luck on getting your computer issues resolved. I will pray for your health. Take care.

I would never buy Dell either. It took 3 replacement laptops before I finally received a good one with no problems, but it was within 30 days of noticing a problem. Also, good luck with the tech support in India and trying to understand what they are saying. Never again.

I have a Dell desktop (didn’t buy it from here) & it’s the worst comp. I ever had. The registry was not set-up correctly at the factory.

I love Dell Computers. All of my Laptops, desk computers, All -In – Ones have been Dell. They are very god and they hold up wonderfully. Once I ad a problem and I called Dell. The problem was minor and mostly my fault. They sent me another Brand New computer immediately.
All Dell ccomputers are not the same. All Hp are not the same. Some are knockoffs.
I Only buy my computers from WalMart, Staples, Best Buy and directly from the manufacturer.
If you buy elsewhere and have lifetime service through a tech company …. Knockoff.

Thanks every one. Did not know their was a customer forum here.

“Vtech will try and sell you their antivirus program. Don’t buy it, is is a scam.”
YOU ariesmaiden are SPOT ON! I have said this many times on this forum. I did fall for it and HSN knows about this little bait and switch but continues to IGNORE IT!
You’ve got HSN saying that Vipre is all that and then some, then Vtech says Vipre isn’t good enough. Say WHAT??? Very bad business, and surely not the way I have run my businesses. Yeah, they were small businesses but I would not tolerate this stuff! Get with it HSN! Your customers are being ripped off for over $300 by Vtech.
-
Also, try posting on HSN’s FB page. It took me a few times but I finally got a call from a lady at corporate. Your warranty sure is HSN’s issue as they are the ones that sold you the computer with the warranty! They can call Dell for you. Hello HSN…….you know those contracts you have with these companies? :womanmad:

Sorry to hear you had this experience. I used to have a Dell laptop and was very happy with it, though I didn’t buy it through HSN.
