Amazon Echo
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE AMAZON ECHO FOR $199 AND THE 2 PKG ECHO DOTS FOR $99??
-
The featured difference is the speaker size and quality. The Echo Dots are an updated, smaller sized version of the $199 Echo. According to one of the presentations of the TSV that I watched, it was stated that: “the Echo Dot will do everything that the $200 Echo does.” I just Googled the question and the response I had verified was was stated in HSN’s presentation. I recently purchased the full sized Echo, which I’ll place in my living room and can service my downstairs area. I’ve just ordered some sets of Echo Dots to use in the upstairs bedroom, as well as sets to gift to my siblings at Christmas.

I own both the Alexa and the Alexa Dot which I purchased directly from Amazon. Both do the same thing and can answer the questions you ask. The only difference is the sound quality. Alexa’s speakers are beautiful while Dot’s voice is not as strong. I have the sound on Dot as high as it will go and still have problems hearing her across the room or when in bed since she sits on my husband’s nightstand. She does fine in the kitchen when I need some cooking directions, but as for playing music or listening to I Heart Radio, she comes through a bit tinning. I do like the Dot in that it is smaller and takes up less space. I also just acquired a bluetooth speaker, which I hope, will give me better sound quality. Also, when you receive your Dot, don’t forget to download the app so you can set her up and enjoy all that there is. You can read what others say about her by checkig Amazon.
