ACER Laptop
Does anyone know how to stop the “beeping” sound it makes when the battery is charging? I work on this laptop so I need to keep it plugged in as the battery life is less than two hours. It is constantly making a loud beeping sound. I have to unplug it to make it stop and keep a watch on the battery level to plug it in before it completely drains. This is very annoying. This is the last time I will purchase an Acer…have had more issues with this laptop than any others I have owned in the past. TIA.

, Acer has their own community discussion forum. You should be able to get an answer there.

Try this . Computers have differences, so one or more of these pictures might look a little different from yours.
1- Right click on the speaker icon in the lower right of your screen near the time. Choose playback devices from the menu that pops up.
2- Sound will open. Click once on Speakers to highlight it blue, then click the Properties button.
3- Speaker Properties will open. Click on the Levels tab.
4- To the right of where it shows PC Speaker, click the speaker icon once. A little red mute symbol should appear. Click OK.
That should stop the beeping when you plug in the cord, without affecting other sounds. Let me know if it worked OK.
