WIN 7 OS
I purchased an Acer Aspire 7560-7183 quite a few years ago and still love it as my back up computer. It is sluggish and I would like to reload the WIN 7 OS to see if that helps. I cannot locate my back up disc that I had made when I first purchased it, so I went to the Windows site to reload WIN 7 from there. They asked for the product key and when I entered it, they did not recognize it as their product and stated that I needed to go to the business where I purchased it to get the WIN 7…and that would be HSN. Can you help?

You will have to contact Acer if you have no recovery partition on the hard drive of your system. When you contact Acer have the model number and serial number ready.
They will send you the recovery discs for your exact model (complete with all of the bloatware originally installed) for a nominal fee. Last set I had to order for a customer was $20 or so.
Their customer service is excellent.

, I’m very sorry but we won’t be able to assist you with this. We woudn’t have a record of the product key that was sent out with your order.

After all of the ugliness over the last 18 months in this country, why does it need to spill over onto a shopping community board? We are a diverse country full of people of different faiths, ethnicities, etc. Saying “Happy Holidays” is all-inclusive which is what America is all about–freedom to be who and what you are. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, as I am entitled to mine. But to call out “radical anti Christian crazed ‘Lierals'” is extreme and you are taking a very broad brush to a lot of people that you don’t actually know anything about. There is no place for hate or rhetoric in this country and especially at this time of year, these kinds of messages aren’t doing anyone a service. As the Christian you say you are, perhaps spending some time in worship to discuss or pray over your frustrations might be good for you and a way to find some kindess and tolerence in your own heart as God calls us all to do.

I thank the Lord that HSN has gone ‘out of their way’ and chosen the HIGHER GROUND of including EVERYONE’s celebration during the Season rather than appeasing the shameful and disgusting sentiment of ‘exclusivity’ of radical anti-Christian crazed conservatives hell-bent on pushing such an insane, slimy, ugly agenda by attempting to usurp the very foundation of Christian teaching—> ‘Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself’, not to mention America’s traditional core-value of EQUALITY.
The word ‘Holiday’ comes from the phrase ‘Holy Day’. To wish anyone ‘Happy Holidays’ is to wish them ‘Happy Holy Days’.

Wow. Might want to use correct punctuation and spellcheck, dear, so that others might just take you seriously.
We are a multi-cultural country. We have many religions. Not all people are Christians. I do find that some Christians are NOT nice. I am a Catholic and have no problem saying Happy Holidays.
You may want to be more tolerant of others.

I heard Brett say Christmas and Hanukkah during the TS presentation.

Christmas is not the only holiday this time of year .Not all celebrate Christmas , Christmas is not celebrated by all people Jews and Muslims also have major celebrations this time of year ,.
Also , there are many that do not celebrate any of the holidays.

Here’s my 2 cents…
Can’t we wait until AFTER THANKSGIVING like I remember we use to do back in the 1800’s?

Ok, I’m gonna eat a black crow now (meaning I made a mistake).
Pyowakit, please forgive me if I came across harsh to your opinion. Gjok made me realize I was a little rude to you. After reading Gjok statement I felt “BAD!” Please forgive me Pyowakit. Yes, it is “TRUE TO FACT” you are entitle to your opinion on a topic and I came across “BOSSY”…not good! In a way I felt like I attacked you. Calling for truce!!!!!!!!!

Thank you both for responding. I had a feeling it wasn’t on the phone. Wishing everyone a very happy holiday season, and a New Year filled with peace, prosperity, good health, and love.

I say Merry Christmas the week leading up to and during the week of Christmas. Happy Holidays is sort of a fail-safe; it covers everyone and how they worship during the season starting with Thanksgiving and going through New Years. The end goal (for me) is to express joy, peace and good tidings on everyone especially at a time when things appear to be and are, for many, bleak.

We’re all entitled to our own opinion without everyone jumping all over us – especially with spelling and grammar mistakes. Seriously! Pyowakit should be able to express her/his opinion without being belittled.
From my view, HSN uses ‘Holiday’ to cover all December holidays, if a viewer say’s Merry Christmas or Happy Kwanzaa while on air the hosts reply back with the same sentiment. Happy Holidays just covers all of us out there listening.

Pyowakit, there’s NO “WAR ON CHRISTMAS”. We should say, ” HAPPY HOLIDAYS” because we shouldn’t be ignorant of other religious and non-religious holidays. There are other holidays celebrated in December besides Christmas. Actually, I believe people (including myself) say HAPPY HOLIDAYS to respect others who are not celebrating Christmas but may observe something else. I think it’s ok to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to someone else whom you actually know that celebrates the holiday, but much damage can be done by assuming that everyone already celebrates, or should celebrate it. Also, I do believe you opened a sticky topic. Never good to question religion or politics. If so, get ready for what is served to you!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Please help, I’m on my phone and don’t see the cog wheel. Can you tell me where it is? Many thanks!

As a Christian, I do celebrate the Christmas holiday but realize there are other holidays celebrated. HSN is marketing itself to a broad base here. I don’t believe it has anything to do with appeasing “Lierals” or Liberals.
Whatever your thoughts, please know that it is difficult to read and consider an opinion containing so many grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors. “Sence” is not a word. Please don’t make my brain hurt. Use the spellcheck feature. Thank you from a retired English teacher.
