I am still trying to figure out the Brother Canvas. I am trying to upload a pattern for Sunbonnet Sue, I cannot figure it out.
-
Hi Lilmam74,
Is SunBonnet Sue a FMC file found with in the scanncut quilting files? I have her in mine. There are lots of parts to her. I just tryed what you are doing to see if it can be done I never have done that before. I just uploaded a piece of the file. You would have to upload all the pieces to the file. Then do what it is you want to do with them then save them in the scanncut canvas and the download them to your machine.
If You want to upload from your machine try to save it and download the file on to your computer. I just did it by copying and pasting to my desktop. I have to use a usb thumb drive because my machine is not wire less.
Once you have it downloaded to your desktop. Then go into scanncut canvas go to the top and go into SVG and then it will ask you to import your file. Choose your file from where you saved it. then click ok and it will download on to the canvas then you can work it from there. You might want to change the file name once you have made your changes. Then save it to your canvas project. Then you can go back and download it to your scanncut.
If you are going for things off of the internet then just do the save and the SVG then you can work with it in the canvas. Save it again in the canvas and then send it to the scanncut. I generally use JPeg files from the internet.
On the Brother site there are booklets on how to use the Canvas. You can copy and print it out. Also google Julie Fei Fan Balzer and sign up for her daily email. Also if you have time check out utube Brother scanncut. Lots out there.
Hope this works for you if not let me know.

I have a lot of quilt files, but no Sue – I went hrought all of the files pre loaded on my machine. I have the SNC2 if there is a difference. I will go look again thoug, I was tired lastnight looking.
-
Ok no you do not have it. I just checked your pattern book. Where did you find the file for Sunbonnet sue?
If you are using a jpeg just print it out and scan it in to your scanncut. I just tried several Jpeg sunbonnet sues and it would not allow me to use them in the scanncut canvas. What I usually do when I want some thing from the net I print it out first then scan it in to my machine.
-
I pulled it off the net. It is a JPEG, my issue is I cannot figure out how to open it in canvas – I know it is pure user error on my part, LOL.
-
I think I finally found a pattern that worked! Boy, it sure is finicky.
-
Ok awesome,
I found a sunbonnet sue clothing pattern. What I had to do to get it to work in my canvas I scanned it in to my scanncut then the file converted over to a FCM file then I downloaded it on to my usb flash drive then I was able to bring it up in canvas. I find this funny because I know I have used pictures off of the net and made stickers out of them.
Well as long as you got it going that is great. Well happy scn hope you create your dreams. I would love to see what you do with that file.:smileyhappy: In the mean time I have a new sunbonnet sue file.:smileyhappy:

EXCPA I BOUGHT TWO ONE FOR ME IN PINK AND AQUA FOR MY DAUGHTER .IT HAS HOLES IN THE BASE TO STORE THE ATTACHMENTS . THERE ARE 3 POSITIONS . I SAW THEM USE 2 . THE THIRD MAY BE FOR STORAGE . IT DOES TWIST UP .
-
There are pictures on the product page that shows all 3 positions as well as the tools being stored “on board”.
That being said, I would prefer to have a hand mixer that can accomodate 2 beaters. That way I would have the option of using only one beater or two beaters. Also, the motor on this isn’t very powerful, only 30 watts. It gets bogged down when mixing heavier ingredients.
-
Hi, If you look at the 33 sec product info video you will see the onboard storage in the base right at the end of the video when they are putting it in a drawer. As for the three positions…You forgot off…lol
-
Thanks for your help. I can get 3 speeds, with one of them being “off” but I’m still confused about the 3 positions.

I just used the Wolfgang Puck 200-Watt Hand Mixer with Case BLACK that I bought 2 years ago for $22.00. The bundt cake came out beautiful. The bundt cake pan is also his. Love it!
-
HE SAID ITS MORE POWERFUL THEN THE OTHER BRAND . IT LOOKS LIKE IT DOES WELL .THE MOTOR IS A BETTER MOTOR MORE TORQUE THEN THE OTHER MINI BRAND .

I don’t care for this Hand Mixer… and I have, and love, a lot of Wolfie’s products. The best Mixer I ever bought, back in Dec 2011, is a 290-watt Hamilton Beach with Snap Case… $18.95 at Amazon… and it’s still like the day I bought it… goin’ strong… made Mexican Wedding Cookies a couple weeks ago… mixed up flawlessly. There is one like it by Cuisinart, with 220-watts, for $68-bucks. No thanks, *lol*.
I also have a Kitchen-Aide Stand Mixer because, from time-to-time, I make Italian Buttercream Icing and NO hand-mixer can manage that feat… trust me, I burned-out 3 before finally shelling-out the dough for a Kitchen-Aide.

If you want to buy a Kitchen Aide on Flex, QVC sells them. If you can lay-out the cash, or pay-in-full on a credit card, watch the sales at Sears. I got mine for a smokin’ deal there.
