Imans clothes have been very ‘true to size’ in my experience, so unlike say, Diane Gilman, where you size down -without question- I would stay with a large if that is your size. Don’t forget they have a size chart in the online listing.

Welcome to the community # Gonemurphin.  I noticed a  New model tonight that was bigger than a large probably a one or 2X or maybe an extra large  that had no trouble with the arm issue .  but I believe the host said the  arm  was a lux leather material with stretch and give.  But you could always call the number on the screen and ask that question and remember you can exchange it for free. Part of the jacket is also suede and I know that would probably have give in it.  I agree that her clothes usually  are sized properly .  Good luck . 

I like the coat but my concern is the zippers tarnishing un-evenly.

A friend had that happen with a different Iman jacket and it looked horrible ..It was much to late to return it..

I have large upper arms and so far, no issue with her fit. Her line is one of my favorites due to the quality and the fit.

I’m not a fan of leather and suede coats, but I can’t buy any of her coats because they don’t come in petites.  The arms will be too long.  I’m not willing to pay to have the sleeves shortened to 30″.  I just buy from people who sell petites.  I wish Iman would make some coats (like her city coat) in petites.

?, good advice from ?. Click on the link for the measurements, find the Garment Measurements Chart, and there’s a “Muscle” measurement, which I assume is the largest part of your upper arm. I awkwardly measured my upper arm with a hard measuring tape (after “making a muscle”), and in size large I’ve got a over 2 inches to spare, so I am going to guess that the arms are not undersized.

I’d love it if the models had their own page on HSN where they were listed by name and their measurements were given on a chart so viewers could find the girl/woman who most closely matches their size and see how it looks on the presentation. I think this could give women a really important additional tool to understand sizing for their own individual body types.

I haven’t watched the presentation for this coat.  However, if you look at the main webpage, there are two women modeling the coat.  The sleeves on the woman who is wearing the navy appear short. It appears they do not reach her wrist bone.  The lady wearing the taupe color is wearing a long sleeve shirt under the jacket.  The sleeves on her shirt extend all the way to her hand.  You cannot see how long the coat sleeves are on this woman because the end of the coat sleeves are not really visible due to the sleeves on her shirt. Even on the video the models are wearing love sleeve shirts under the jacket, and the shirt sleeves extend further out from the jacket.  The appear to be longer than the sleeves on the jacket.

Right on, MsLomo! That’s what I’m talkin’ about! I think it would solve a lot of sizing issues.

?, why wouldn’t you just order your size?  How else will you know if the coat will fit your upper arms.  Plus sizes are available if you believe you may need it.
