Thank you for your kind words. No need to be jealous of me. It only took me many years and trail and error to finally learn how to make  pj bottoms. These days a kid can do it better and faster and without a pattern. They just take their own Pj bottoms lay them out on the fabric and cut away and have them sewn up in ten minutes.

(lived w/me on and off) I only ‘discovered’ earl grey–15 yrs ago! But there’s NOTHING like a hot cup of Lipton ‘dust’ tea (you funny) ON A COLD SNOWY DAY……EXCEPT MAYBE 2 CUPS!!! :womantongue:    As for the ‘kids’–I GAVE UP TRYING TO KEEP UP-DECADES AGO! So funny you mention Ralph Lauren he was and still is one of my favorite designers. Somewhere around here is a post I have made showing a pattern that is really of a hat it is made out of fur and it looks like something he created. As a matter of fact Last years season of Downton Abby and the season before showed his designs as a commercial and the hat was in the commercial. I bought the pattern a year earlier and made two hats  for both my young ladies. I actually made them the hat, a muff, a scarf, and fingerless gloves in black faux mink fur. I really love how they look on both the girls.

I did not take pictures back them so I cannot post them up. They did come out very well and I was pleased. I want to make a hat for myself but I have not gotten there yet but when I do I will post it up.

Yes Earl Gray was a staple in my house when I was a kid. I did not start to drink tea or coffee till was in my twenties for some reason I never cared for either. Now I would not be with out my old tea bag tea for love nor money. It is very good even if it is just really fine cut of tea. The tea dust comment well I heard that on a tv show a certain little Irish/scotch/English man said it and I thought about it and said how true. It still has not stopped me from drinking it everyday. Sometimes all day.

You have some nice memories with your Grand keep them close and hold them tight:heart:

Delray thank you so very much for all your kind words to me. I too am one that gives first and if I do for myself then I do if not it is ok too. My sewing is not the greatest but I am getting there.

I looked at the instructions for one of the night gowns I will be making seems easy with a few advanced parts for me. We will see. This is all just a learning process anyway. I just want to see if I can do it.
