Price adjustment
Hello, I just purchased an item last night, and today the price has dropped. Do you offer price adjustments? I would just cancel the order and purchase again, but 1 of the items are sold out. Please let me know my options.

I always loved school minus the first day of the school year. I go by my middle name and every new teacher (with the exception of my first grade teacher) would call me by my first name.
Prior to starting first grade my mother took me to meet my teacher. My teacher decorated the class bulletin board with a school of fish. Each fish had the name of a student on it. I was looking for my fish but could not find it. I asked where my name was and the teacher showed me a fish with my first name on it. I broke out in tears. As soon as she found out why she made a new fish for me with the correct name.

My worse first day was when I was a teacher. I was meeting the parents and my front tooth broke off. It was sooo embarrassing, and I just wanted to run and hide. I had to stay and talk to parents. It was really awful!

My most memorable story is one I will never forget. I’m sitting in the bleachers waiting for my son’s high school graduation ceremony to begin. The music starts, the graduates enter and I turn to my husband with tears running down my face and say to him, ” Didn’t I just put him on the bus for Kindergarten?” The woman in front of me later told me she said the same thing to her daughter that morning.

It was the day that my youngest started kindergarden..He was not happy..
I knew I would miss him underfoot all day..
I went to the local pet store and bought a parakeet(long before I had kitties)and everything it needed..
When I brought my son home from his first day at school.
He walked in and said “what’s that”?..I said MY parakeet..
He looked at me and said “either it goes or I do!”..I said ok..bye!
After about 5 minutes of him standing by the door..I said “you’re still here?”.
He said ” I can’t reach the lock!”..
P.S…that parakeet became my son’s “best friend” at the time..The bird sat on his ball cap walking around the house..My son taught him to flip cards off the table..and to “dive bomb” his older brother..LOL

The tuna fish story is what comes to mind. I remember getting a call to come to the school because my daughter was hysterical crying over her lunch. I made her a sandwich with leftover tuna from the previous day. She didn’t like the smell and refused to eat it and was crying. I still remember going to the school with a PB and J sandwich and finding her on the bench in the main office in hysterics.
I learned my lesson, no more leftover tuna fish only tuna made fresh the same day.

I had dreaded that day and hoped it wouldn’t come so fast. My darling little boy was going to school for the very first time. The bus picked him up at the end of our driveway, and I kept thinking of excuses as to why he shouldn’t have to leave his mama at that young age. As the doors closed and the bus pulled away, I waved to him and then turned away not wanting him to see me cry. That day was harder for me than it was for him. He was happy to ride the bus, enjoyed school, made new friends, and had a wonderful teacher. But this mom will never forget the trauma of that very first day.

Sorry for the typos. I always check my work but I pushed send quickly, so I was saying that he had to be near my breasts and he was embarrassed.

I loved school and in the 6th grade We were so lucky to get a young “very”cute Teacher. He was always so excited to see if we were learnin ,but in our Health unit,we were studying the Heart. He went around the room, listening to each students heart. I was a early bloomer,& His face got all pink, as he had to be neat my breasts. The entire class began to laugh at his reaction, embarrassing to us both,he decided to stop the testing and we lined up for recess. As a 30 yr. Teacher vetran, I later found out that it was his 1st yr. and he was only 21yrs.old This was the early 60’s,I was IN LOVE ,the entire year!

When my daughter was attending elementary school, we took the class pet home to tend to over the summer. My daughter was so excited she didn’t know what to do. The class pet was a beautiful White Rabbit they named “Roast Beef.” He was huge. We followed her instructions on what to feed him and took good care of him. I’d already known a little about rabbits, as my dad would give them to us as pets when I was a child. We enjoyed Roast Beef for the entire summer, until toward the end. One day after being out, we came in to find the rabbit had died. I cried, my daughter cried, we couldn’t understand it. I called my dad, who came and took him away for us. The only thing left to remind us of Roast Beef was his cage.
I was so afraid of the new school year (daughter going into 2nd grade) because I had no idea how to tell my daughter’s teacher that the Rabbit died in our care. I called into work to tell them I’d be a little late as I knew I’d have to explain what happened to the rabbit. I was petrified and just knew her teacher would think the worst of me.
Turns out she did not, and she told me she had hoped that he’d live through another summer because he was so old. She knew it was a matter of time for Roast Beef. I felt a little better about it, but I vowed after that, that I would never volunteer to watch another class pet ever again.
RIP Roast Beef!

When I was a freshman in college, my roomate enjoyed listening to her favorite artist 24/7 which interfered with my studies. I started looking for a place to learn my assignments and found a huge room with desks and chairs. There I went each day until I met a sophomore who informed me that the room was for upper classmen only. However, when I explained the situation she said it was OK and would inform the others. We became friends and one day I asked her if she knew anyone from my State. She said she did, but I would not be interested since she had just broken up with him. Ten years later I met that person and married him. He had graduated from that college just before I moved in and the girl he broke up with has given us many smiles and laughter to this day, esspecially when he asks why he never met me sooner.

in grammar school, our class had pet fish that we kept in the science room. one friday afternoon, i was in charge of cleaning the tank. once i finished cleaning it, this tank looked sparkling and brand-new. even one’s reflection appeared mirror-like and clear. however, what i did not realize was that as i was cleaning the tank, my hand hit the water thermometer by accident. yes, you guessed it. I BOILED THE SCIENCE ROOM FISH!!! and, what’s even worse, is that my mother and father were made to pay, on my behalf, for new fish. i still can’t believe it. talk about punishment not fitting the crime. oh, sigh.. xoxo
