LG Sunset Tracfone Activation issues
I ordered the LG Sunset, which was to come with 1350 minutes/texts/data. I followed the instructions on the red card to go to tracfone.com and activate the phone. I went to tracfone.com, signed into my account (I have several other tracfones), and clicked activate. I entered the serial number and activated the phone. I chose the option to have my old Tracfone number transferred to my new LG Sunset. All of that seemed to go OK – the phone is on, I’ve connected to WiFi, and it says my number is my old number. However, I have no data/minutes/texts.
I’m now seeing on a different piece of the package (“Welcome Guide”) that I was supposed to go to activate.tracfone.com to get the “built in” data/minutes/texts. Though the red card clearly says just “go to tracfone.com”. Well, I tried going to activate.tracfone.com. I entered my HSN order number and zip code. But once I get to the next step of enter serial number, it says “phone is already active” (because I did it the other way). So are my data/minutes/texts lost now because I can’t do it this way?

I do not get coupins via email either.

I’ve never received one in my package before. Guess they’re trying to make up for ignoring a good customer!

Hi , what changes in your email preferences did you make? I’ve tried doing that but no luck, just wondering what you did. Thanks!

Under “preferences” I checked the box that says notify me of promtions and coupon deals. Now it’s happening.:smileyvery-happy:

.
BEEN THERE, DONE THAT! Oh well, thanks for responding so quickly.

it didn’t happen right away, took about two months and now they are starting to pop.:smileyhappy:

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear there was confusion regarding the activation of your new phone. Sadly we do not have a way to reset the phone once its been activated. My only suggestion would be to reach out to either TracFone or Simply Wireless (or both) regarding the issue. I’m sorry we cannot provide more assistance on this matter.

Ok I will try that. The box *really* should not include a red slip that says go to tracfone.com to activate if that causes someone to lose their minutes.
If I can’t get any answers from TracFone, is the phone eligible for return with HSN? I paid $90 for a phone that is worth about $50 without any service data, so it’s really not worth keeping to me at this point.

I contacted Tracfone, and they said they cannot provide me the minutes since I either needed to use 1) activate.tracfone.com or 2) an airtime PIN. 🙁 So they could not help. How do I go about a return? Do I need to deactivate the phone then send it back in?
