Extended delivery on a TS?

Can you please tell me why there is an extended delivery on a today’s special that is not on waitlist? After all, it is a todays special and I would expect that it would be shipped under normal conditions. Thank you.

It seems I can never quite get an answer the first time I ask. Why is this item not ready to ship? After all, it is a today special. You would think that a today’s special would be ready to ship immediately. Please tell me why it is not ready to be shipped immediately. Thank you.

This really isn’t much of an explanation, but it is pretty poor in my opinion that you would have a today special that cannot be shipped immediately.
