The Monday Night Show Asks: What’s the craftiest thing you’ve ever come up with?

one day, when i was very small, my favorite totes umbrella (that had my name embroidered on it) broke on me. i was quite saddened- but that’s a story for another day. anyway, before i went to throw it out, my father removed all of the metal wires and filed down the ends. voila the rods metamorphisized into cooking tools for homemade pasta. we have been using them regularly ever since. i love you daddy!! stay blessed and creative, my friends. xoxo.

I am not a real crafty person but I have a decons bench (small pew) I picked up at a garage sale for $10 and the cushioned seat is easy to remove so for the holidays and seasons I change out the material for a more festive look. Just staple it on the botton and voila! Looks like a whole new piece!

I bought a old brass ice box hinge and hung it on the wall in my kitchen. 

Found a queen size sheet set in the same colors/design as my living room at a yard sale for $3.00.  I made enough valances for 7 windows and covered my 4 dining room chairs as I have an open concept living/dining room.  Savy shopper!

On Mothers Day, my mother has a big family dinner, and we all go there.

NOW …  before you think … well that’s terrible that she has to cook on MOTHERS DAY ..

It’s OK …  1) she never has to cook , my father does all the cooking in the house ( and I mean everything, down to making the morning coffee ) my dad spoilers her everyday!

  2) she wants the family together on the same time so what better way than to have a set dinner time

 3) she wants to make sure none of her daughters get stuck cooking on that day!   :womanvery-happy:

I created a headless man costume for my son that was so realistic that a woman who was seated as he walked by her jumped so high that she literally fell out of her chair. I’ve been kicking myself in the butt ever since for not having my camcorder recording when that happened. What a sight that whole scene was!
